YES I KNOW IT IS NEXT YEAR AND WE HAVE NOT EVEN BEEN THROUGH 2007, so save it. How does everyone feel about Crompton next year? If he steps in next year, can he play as well as Ainge and keep our SEC hopes alive? thoughts

Crompton isn't the guaranteed starter for 08, so let's not even bother with this speculation.

If Crompton is the starter, I think he will be fine. Crompton can definitly keep our Sec hopes alive.

I would not be surprised to see rFr B.J. Coleman starting next year. Many have deemed him as the next Manning and Cut loves the kid.

So what if B.J. Coleman is the qb of the future? Are we going to keep doing these 2 year qb stints?

No, YOU have him deemed the next Peyton Manning.

I do think Coleman will be the #2 in 2008, not Stephens.

With Crompton's style ( running over All-American safeties ), he has a good chance of getting injured. I think B.J. can beat Crompton out next year and Cut will mold B.J. into a great QB just like he did with other Vol greats.

Have you actually ever seen BJ Coleman play a single down of football?

I have seen people from different places deem B.J. as the next Peyton, plus he idolizes him and walks and throws like him.

First point, he didn't run over Laron Landry, he ran over Chevis Jackson.

2nd, I would bet my savings Crompton starts the 2008 season, and barring injuries, finishes his career at UT with around ohhhhh 26 to 28 starts.

I have seen around 3 people, as delusional as you, make the comparison.

And you have no idea if he throws like Peyton Manning. I saw Coleman's highlight reel, and he doesn't throw like Manning ... yet.

Yes I saw him at McCallie and I loved the way he played and he was THE leader, and when he talked in the huddle, his teammates listened.

In other words, no you have not ever seen him play and you are building him up based on press clippings.
