Some Japanese style torture against the Chinese..

Human targets were used to test grenades positioned at various distances and in different positions. Flame throwers were tested on humans. Humans were tied to stakes and used as targets to test germ-releasing bombs, chemical weapons, and explosive bombs

Jesus..

The way the VC and NVA treated their captives is the benchmark by which we should judge ourselves?

The benchmark should be doing what needs to be done to win. Don't go to war unless you're prepared to do what it takes to secure victory.

You know society is about two shakes from getting steamrolled by evil when people think close confinement and blasting Britney Spears is torture.

Thank god we didnt fight WW1/2, Vietnam with the current generations of people geesh..

We could have never pulled off Normandy with today's whiny liberal press.

God bless those men, and all those that have put their lives in the line of fire for our freedom.

Every time you use the term "liberal" as if it's a four letter word.. you sound really stupid.

This applies to all of you that do this as well. Really.. it makes you look retarded.

Nice emotional appeal

You're quickly becoming one of the more obnoxious posters in the PolyFo.

Supporting liberalism and being a liberal is something you should be embarrassed of.

Fully committing to either side is pretty ****ing stupid if you look at the past few decades.

I will say, the Pubs use liberal (as an insult) ad nauseum. It's like calling someone a "stupid idiot" at this point.

For ****'s sake... have some originality.

It's not just a name Repubs call them. They call themselves liberal. It's still something to be embarrassed of.

Dude, liberals rarely use the actual word on here. The righties have a huge, throbbing hard-on for it.

On here? Is this the only political platform in the world? Not the greatest measuring stick.

Perhaps they've learned it's nothing to be proud of. Perhaps, ironically, they're progressing.

This is just a microcosm. Pretending otherwise is silly.

Pretending the word liberal isn't embraced by liberals is quite silly. It's ok to admit you're wrong. Arguing over whether or not liberals call themselves liberal is ridiculously silly as well and I'm guilty of that. Thus.... Let's move on.

I'm arguing over the ad nauseum use of 'liberal' by faux conservatives. You, sir, are equivocating.

If you can find a post on here that I have called myself a "liberal" then you can be the king of VolNation's political forum.

I dont sit around a wave a liberal flag as if I'm representing anyone.. I just think for myself and look at things with an open mind.

I dont have cable either and never watch 24/7 news channels.. I think that may help also

You're right.. there are some dumbasses that feel the need to be apart of something and shake their pom poms as a "liberal". Those people are just as close minded as the folks they oppose. Dumb and dumb.

We treated all POWs according to Geneva Convention standards. The non-state, non-uniformed combatants were treated far better than what is required by the Geneva Convention.

Discomfort by waterboarding or solitary confinement is not torture.

Waterboarding has been considered torture for many years. This report is going to be very bad on the W administration and the USA per what has been said by politicians on both sides of the aisle.

Waterboarding: Interrogation Or Torture? - CBS News

Waterboarding, long considered a form of torture by the United States, produces a gag reflex and makes the victim believe death is imminent. The technique leaves no visible physical damage.

Republican presidential candidate John McCain, who was tortured as a prisoner of war in North Vietnam, considers waterboarding a form of torture. McCain has been quoted as saying that waterboarding is "no different than holding a pistol to his head and firing a blank."

After World War II, U.S. military commissions prosecuted several Japanese soldiers for subjecting U.S. soldiers to waterboarding, according to Human Rights Watch. In 1968, a U.S. soldier was court-martialed for water boarding a Vietnamese prisoner.

But in October 2006, Vice President Dick Cheney confirmed the United States had used the controversial technique to interrogate senior Al Qaeda suspects, and he said the White House did not consider waterboarding a form of torture.

When we DO WHATEVER IT TAKES, some of those thing puts us on the same level of morality as the terrorist and cruel dictators.

If you can't stand getting dirty, don't wrestle with pigs! Morality plays no part in war.

I don't care if it is torture, don't fly planes in our buildings....killing thousands....

Besides. Tell them what you know. No water boarding then.
