Criteria for a new coach

How about someone with a different philosophy at this point. I don't care how they win as long as they win. Shoot, if they can field our dance team and win I would be all for it. We only have 2 losses, but one more seals our fate.

What does young have to do with anything? Limiting a coach search to an age demographic is foolish.

Innovative doesn't mean anything either unless that innovation leads to victories, which may not always be the case.

Well, youth would give better chance of long term success, perhaps. The only reason I'm not a fan of bringing Spurrier, or some other older (55+) coach in relates to age... I don't want a retread or someone on the way out, I want someone on the way up. Someone that has something to prove, ala Bruce Pearl.

Someone that will have the defense flying around the feild rocking, destroying, annihilating (enter adjective here) anything in it's path.

someone who will bring in a special teams coach
someone who exhibits great character and class
someone who gives and demands respect
someone who will teach our players the fundamentals (tackling)
someone who will represent UT well and return our program to its former dominance

I wouldn't care who it is as long as they aren't in the "family". UT acts alot like Bama when it comes to coaches, they want someone like General Neyland just as Bama wants another Bear. UT Mafia.......we don't hire outside the family!

paging Tidybowlchamps. Mr. Mike Hamilton would like to meet with you. Evidently you don't know him at all. He would like to set a few things straight with you.
