Criminally bad calls! (Merged)

On that note, SC is playing good football right now. I am worried about that game.
I'm not calling the game a loss already but if we're going to beat Carolina, we are going to have to play better than we have all year or they are going to have to play a bad game. They look pretty good and very physical which tends to give us trouble.

Agree. They are good.

The Fla and USCe game is pathetic, The refs basically handed the game to Fla. False start and holding on the same play that Fla scored on and the holding call was for at least 15 yds. Then on another score a WR picked on a DB that was plain as day. Its disgusting and not even for sure if Fla had a penalty called on them in the 2nd half.
Remember in 2014 the play clock hit zero for over a second before they snapped and kicked the go ahead field goal? Yes they have sucked for years!!!

Here's a crazy idea.... Instead of having these senior officials on call for when broadcasters see a questionable call, put them in the booth as a Sky Judge where they can be in constant communication with the referee to get calls right. And make the conversations public.

True. However, look at the big picture....the refs helping SCar lose to Florida today helps us next week.

Not true, they usually get 1 called against them late in the 4th quarter and leading 48-6. Cheating commie ba$[@^&$!!

This. It’s the same in basketball. The calls go in favor of a team early to help get them going. Once they get going and the game is in hand, the refs will penalize the other way to even it out in the box score. Bammers try to argue this all the time. It’s not always how many penalties, it’s when.

For me, the biggest surprise of the tonight's game would be a holding penalty on Alabama. I think the officials last called holding on Alabama against us back in 1987.
Funny you should say that. I think the 1988 game the refs called us for defensive holding on Bama’s last drive of the game to give them the win. No one at the time could find the hold.

They just missed an obvious and ridiculous pass interference in the Miss State-LSU game.

And you know what's also annoying.....the announcers not calling it like it is and saying that the call or the call missed was brutal.

The premiere football conference in America should be able to get premiere officials to work the games.

I think a good first step would be for the SEC to publicly post the internal rating scores for each crew each week.

Those men in stripes have a lot of power over the outcome of games. A little transparency and accountability should be in order. The scores of the performance of the players is public in the form of the game score. Why should those judging those young mens adherence to the rules be less public.

To the heads of the SEC this officiating isn’t a bug, it’s a feature. They need either UF or UGA to only be a one loss team when they go to the SEC championship game. That way if they win over Bama or LSU the SEC won’t be kept out of the playoffs.

The SEC can’t have a 2 loss champion b/c the committee has never let a 2 loss team into the playoffs. This is a multi billion dollar a year industry. Do you really think there isn’t any corruption with that amount of money on the line?

USCjr will complain to SEC head official... next weeks refs at our game will thus make calls in USCjr's favor. Instead of reprimanding that crew, that's how the system works in Birmingham.

The so called ESPN ref expert in the USCjr-UF game gave the most idiotic answer to 10 yards of holding by UF on that long TD. It was holding. Hey ESPN, have the guts to call it, the SEC bigwigs won't fire you, they like your money.

It adds to the conspiracy theory aspect to it when you don't at least acknowledge it

Seems like Florida benefits from the bad calls more often than not too. They always catch the breaks. I’ll never forget the Jabar Gaffney noncatch that was given to them. I was cursing at the television while watching them benefit from bad call after bad call. I took great delight in watching Muschamp get neck deep in the official’s a$$. In a related story, it’s bs how the Big 12 fined that Tex Tech AD for stating the obvious fact. If anything, the Big 12 should have to pay TX Tech $25k for costing them a game which could easily affect bowl revenue. Conferences behave like dictatorships in regards to their mistakes. This irks me to no end! Aaaaahhh!!!

PS: I hate Florida! Go VOLS!!!
