Crews started off hot, started, cooled off a little, 2nd string, but he's getting better. Overall, I think Crews' mid-range game is the most needy. We've all seen him down low, grabbin' rebounds and putting in layups/dunks, but he is 6'7. Being a 6'7 center will really limit his potential and I think his mid range shooting and ball handling will have to improve to make a sufficient PF. He does have episodes of brilliance though (like that hook shot over Glen Davis: you just dont see moves like that from freshmen very often.

Chism started off a little slow, and then got really hot, and has been consistent (other than the SC game). He can hit the 3, and he gets himself in great position defensively. We saw signs of it in the Vandy game, but Chism needs to learn to take over a game. He is solid in every area. He has surprisingly good ball handling ability, he has great offensive and defensive awareness, he can post up well, and his basketball iq is off the charts for a freshman.

Next year I think that BP's system will fit these guys perfectly. Their styles of play are pretty much opposite, but that makes for great chemistry. Crews is extremely athletic and if he can develop his midrange game he might be incredible, and Chism will only get better with experience. Both these guys have a bright future at UT.

That said... Which one do you think is better and which one has more upside?

Rite now, I would have to say Chism on both accounts.. With all of Chism's skills, he can only get better and better.. Now Crews, I think he'll make a good undersized Pf.. But as of now, he is currently playing out of position and going up against guys much longer and somtimes stronger than he is.. But both should be great players in the future as they continue to grow..

StunnA keeps it pimpin'..:pimp_2:

I agree, I think Chism will be the better player overall at UT. The sky is the limit for Wayne. Duke will get better Once we get a quality big man at center. He will be a natural fit at Small/Power Forward.

If we can land another post in the spring, we will get to see Crews' true potential since he will be able to play the 4.
