We often bash (with reason many times) the players and coaches. I thought it would be a good idea to actually have a thread to allow credit to be given.

I'll start.

1. I give credit to the coaching staff and players for putting together and executing a very good game plan.

Defense deserves any and all kudos handed to them after handing it to the Hogs!!

1. I give credit to the coaching staff and players for not listening to the people that said "they can't".

I second that. The coaches actually had the team prepared to play and they executed the plan to near perfection. I'm not back on the Fulmer bandwagon quite yet, but he and Cheif did a great job.

I'll be the first to say kudo's to this thread... regardless of whether we win or loose we've been behind our coaches and team... Saturday those young men played their hearts out, as one of the players said in an interview after the game, "They knew the coaches and themselves had been flammed and they were tired of it." May not be the exact words but it still says it all... I totally agree about putting together and executing a very good game plan....

GO VOLS... GO BIG ORANGE ...:clapping:

Good Thread volbeef88,

I must say good job to all the coaching staff and players, it was evident we were ready to go. Now lets get ready for Vandy and give them a whooping they wont soon forget.

How about credit to the Hogs for avoiding the pass early, when the game was decided. Allowed us to load up on the run, as expected, and stuff it. Had they seen early the success they could have throwing the ball, it would have been a different game.

It's been said but kudos to Chief and the front 7. They were fired up, played with passion and tackled well.

Also our return game took a positive step. I really look forward to getting those young playmakers in the mix.

well bpv, you must not have watched Dick and the Arky pass game this year. The one thing that did surprise me was that Arky didn't use as much missdirection on us as normal. They have no passing game to speak of and they did try it early. They threw on several 1st downs in the first half.

I credit the VOLS for keeping me sober and enjoying a Sunday without muttering "f'in bama!"

I realize how pathetic that sounds, but so be it.

Thought the D looked like the team that played Georgia.

Hats off to the coaching staff and players. GO VOLS win out, and lets see which team shows up against LSU, the Geo VOLS or the bama vols. If it is the Geo VOLS I really beleive we can take LSU.

If it is the bama vols woe is me.:clapping:

PS...I want to thank Arky coaching staff for benching Mc Fadden on a number of huge plays ?????

To those Vols fans who think we have coaching issues, just look at that mess.

I've probably seen it more than most, but I thought they found some success late throwing the ball. Losing Jones took away some of their threat in misdirection, so we could key on McFadden's direction only. No passing game made that even worse for them.

I'm not saying they could have pulled the run and shoot on us, but they could have tried what they ended up doing in the late third and throughout the fourth quarter.

They didn't even use missdirection early when jones was in the game. Also they DID throw early but had NO success. The late game passing success was due to a small change in the D. They could have ran their wild hog or wild cat what ever they call it now, with Hillis, Smith and especially early with Jones. Face it, Arky is a running team and the boys in Orange stopped it. You take away a teams ability to do what they do best and you usually win. The UT players and coaches deserve a TON of credit for dominating a hot team.

I'll give credit to our run defense. Our passing offense still needs a big game, I hope it comes this weekend.

Does it ever!! Our passing game is hurting!! Maybe it is time to try some new plays, b/c its obvious the 3 passing plays we use are not working. lol.

How many series did Jones play?

Running misdirection with people who strike no fear is hardly the same as running with an NFL caliber return man and 3rd down back.

Giving credit where it's due, oOur D did what it needed to do and the Arky offense did exactly what we need them to do.

Great tackling by our defense. Credit to Fulmer for "playing to win," namely the 4th and 1 call on the first drive.

Also, I LOVED the pump fake play to Taylor(?). We need to break that one out again in the SECCG :crossfingers:...

The defense played hungry, looked prepared, and tackled well.

The O-line came up big when it had to.

Nice fire to go for it on 4th.

Rogan lighting up the return game.

Berry with two nice picks and some good tackling.
