Can someone explain how Kififn is able to sell creating competition to the players while simultaneously forgoing all competition for coaching positions?

I am not happy about the way Chavis has been treated in this whole thing. Is Kiffin afraid that he couldn't run this team without his daddy?

1)Because it was life long competition that put these coaches in a position to be beneficial to the players.
whether it be about life or football.

2)I thing he was respectful and clear about chavis, and indeed the entire defense.Including the direction in which
he was going.

Which is in the door and Chavis and the Defensive Staff are going out of.

Lets see what would you rather have? The mustang package, or the package that just shut down the number one offense in the NFL? I cant wait to hear the MONTE KIFFIN chants ringing through Neyland.

Im excited about Monte, but I was already exicet about our Defense. All I cared about was getting the offense going.

Maybe you forgot about the 2007 season.
Do you not remember Chavis ultimately saying that he had no clue what to prepare for when going to Cal last year?

You must have missed the UCLA, Florida, Alabama, Georgia, and South Carolina games this year.

His dad was making 2 milion a year as DC at Tampa. He will probably get half that here. UT is very lucky to have him, family ties or not.

I said in an earlier post (different thread) that the comment that Kiffin was terrible in the NFL ment that he was not quailfied to coach at UT was the dumbest post I ever read on VN........I stand corrected. This was the dumbest one ever!!!!!!

Get a life. Monte Kiffin is a genius! Ask ANYONE in the NFL. Colts and Bucs won SB's because of the cover 2 HE INVENTED! Kiffin'sbrother in law is a great recruiter, and I know USCe qb's suck, but the dude can coach and RECRUIT! If it fails, then UT moves on.

The one mistake Kiffin made in the PC is that he should have said," all positions are open, expect Eric Berry.....he WILL start". Other than that...it was great. :good!:

if his dad wasn't considered one of the top defensive minds to ever coach the game, you might have a point.

however, in this case, nepotism seems the proper course given the scenario presented.

in other words, i'd think him to be stupid not to take advantage of having Monte Kiffin on this staff.

That was perhaps the stupidest thread ever created on the VN.......We stand to get one of the best defensive minds in football history.....Quit your whining...:cray:

No, I was mad as heck at the mustang in the UCLA game... letting the 4th string Frosh charge down the field with the same 1 or 2 plays the entire drive.

Yeah that was poor coaching. However, we lost that game because someone decided not to block anyone during punt protection. Which I put on Fulmer because he said he was completely responsible for special teams.

anyone complaining of bringing in Monte is a fool and should be kicked off of the site; his reputation is beyond all doubt
