I'd like to just go ahead and put it out there and hopefully preempt the craziness that's going to ensue on this forum.

We're very much.. really.. most likely.. undoubtedly.. honestly.. admittedly.. probably not going to win even while wearing our super, spectacular, outstanding, magical, gray uniforms.

To anyone under the impression that the uniforms are going to help, sorry, but these uniforms don't harness the powers of Zeus, Ares, Hermes, Eric Berry, or Peyton Manning.

So before hitting the SUBMIT button on your "my crazy, unrealistic expectations weren't met" thread, give this some thought.

:good!:

Realist.

Sup? Every week I think we have a chance to win. Its part of being a fan.

You can complain all you want, we're 4 games into Butch Jones' tenure and people are already jumping ship. I can't wait until all the rats are gone; I've been waiting for the last 5, tough years for people to stop whining and get behind the team, I suppose I can wait out another season.

Its not to say I'm not expecting to be disappointed, but my glasses are orange tinted until the end of each game.

I'd like to forget about the Oregon game as much as the next guy, but we have to face the facts that we're actually 5 games into Butch's tenure.

I'm completely with you. At 4 games, there was no way to predict whether or not he would be successful. He simply needed more time.

5 games in now, it's clear that we must fire Butch if we are to move forward.

It will be a tough game. I just hope for improvement, and a tough fight regardless of the score. That will be a win in and of itself.

Football is football and there is always the opportunity to get the W. Would I bet on the vols?? Hell no but do they have a chance, absolutely.

Word. If I didn't think there was a chance, I wouldn't watch, and football season would be miserable. Is it a longshot? Sure, but upsets happen, and they have happened in this series. Just 2 weeks ago, North Texas gave UGA all they could handle. We have seen major upsets, we see them every year, so I will go on board as 1 thinking there is a chance

Ah, see here is the difference. I expect a win every week--that is why I watch the game. But, if we lose for whatever reason, I don't go jump off a bridge or flame away at the players. I have a life.

I hate to say it but I think we don't have a snowballs chance in hell of winning this gm. I just don't have the confidence in this team to even compete. I'm sorry to be so negative but that's just the way I fell

There's always a chance. If Jones can get them to play mistake free football again the chances go up. Eventually the improvements from Worley and the WR's are going to reach the point where they multiply on the field.

UGA has superior talent... and a mediocre coach who has undercoached great talent for years now.

UT's "chance" in this game really comes down to Jones outcoaching them the way Kiffin outcoached Saban and Meyer in 09... even then it is ONLY a chance.

Well sorta but not really. Georgia mostly just played with NT . UGA had 641 total yds and held NT to 7 yards rushing. A blocked punt and a KO return for touchdowns (and yes those scores count) made the score close for awhile but NT only moved the ball for one scoring drive

I've been in Neyland several times when UT has beaten the puppies when most had given us no chance....Don't know why, but we seem to have their number.

Sadly--almost all of those games came when we had Cutcliffe as our OC....but at least Kiffin did lead us to whomp those puppies in 2009 when he was here....

GO VOLS! :salute:

We beat Knowshon & Staffords bunch as well as David's Greene & Pollacks bunch. Both much better than Murrays squad. Granted our crew isnt as good as those Vol teams but in Neyland against Richt we can play them toe to toe.

Personally, I'm willing to give him another 2.5 quarters.
