Oh, and to answer the "skirt question:" It's been a long time since my pre-med physics class, but I believe that she's on the way down. Newton's laws don't explain it -- it's much more complicated. You have to take into account wind resistance and, to a very minute degree, the buoyancy of air. This explains why a skydiver's speed falls from over a hundred miles an hour to around 12 when his parachute opens.
