Craziest Vol-related thing you have done

Missed pretty much the whole reception of my sisters wedding to watch the 2001 lsu game at a bar near by. Was just going to check the score...oops.

I did make it back in time to hear her mother in laws touching speech about how much they loved her yadda yadda yadda. Somehow I was chosen next to speak and I ended up telling him she is a b**ch and best of luck. I'm out!!

When I was in my mid 20's I use to usher at the stadium, I had no mercy on Bama fans and had many escorted out the gate.

Back in 1982 I had a 1974 Orange with white stripes Mercury Comet GT, me and some friends went to the Bama game and I got hammered on bourbon and tossed one of my friends the keys to my car and told him to pick me up on the strip. It was a sea of orange on the strip and complete mayhem, cops were just starting to close the strip down when my buddy screamed my name as he was rolling down the strip. As I ran to dive into my car an officer grabbed my leg and was trying to pull me out. My buddies in the car grabbed my arms and I told my buddy driving to drop the clutch and get the heck out of there....To this day I can still see the look on the cops face as we sped off and away...good times good times.

Took LSD at the 1987 Auburn game and sat in the top row of the stadium overlooking the river. When Reggie Cobb took the ball into the end zone with just over a minute left in the game...I thought the stadium was gonna collapse. Not really, but you know what I mean!

We also used to drop things out of the top floor (12th) of North Carrick...my suite mate once dropped a full 2 liter Coke bottle filled with water, and it went through the trunk of a Honda Prelude that had just pulled up intI the loading zone. Never got caught. Whew!

We also dropped a super ball out the same window and it bounced over the building south of the parking lot.

Other things we dropped out that window: paper airplanes, pizza boxes, fire balls of shaving cream, watermelons, water balloons, cottage cheese quart, etc...

That was you? I had just paid that off!

Back in the early 90's the student tickets were pretty basic looking. They pretty much just had a different color strip on the top and bottom for each game along with the date and team they were playing.

I used to take unused tickets from previous games and make extras for friends coming into town by matching the strip on the top with glue glue & construction paper. I would take the fake tickets and mix it in with the real ones. Worked like a charm.

Smoked crack on my balcony in the fort,
then I:

Threw beer bottles off my balcony in the fort.

Shot roman candles off my balcony in the fort.

Blew up a pumpkin on my my balcony in the fort.

Good thing I'm not a QB, huh?

fyp

Ever drop a large standup oscillating fan or couch from the study room? Had both of those hit the roof outside of my window on the 2nd floor of North Carrick...noisy but awesome, haha! :)

I have a big tattoo of a Tennessee T on my side of my rib cage wit Rockey Top Tennessee on it. Pls my son name is peyton. Go Vols

2008 in Athens my buddies and I bought 2 5 gallon buckets of UT Orange paint at Lowe's and made "paint grenades" with ziplock bags. 2a.m. on Sat morning me and 2 other guys rode in the bed of our friend's pickup and attacked the fraternity houses with our homemade paint balloons, drive-by style....

(This was a retaliation to the same thing happening to us in Knoxville in '07)

Craziest thing I have done I do every game day. I hang on to everything that happens like it's life or death. if we lose, I can't watch sports center, or read the sports section of the tennessean. I get physically I'll if we lose. It's just a game my wife tells me, but I can't ever seem to take it that way. So I guess risking my health & well being over a game that people play and let my mood be affected by it's outcome is crazy in itself. I'm sure many on here can relate.

I used to be like this, but the last half decade has afforded me plenty of opportunities to practice self-control. I can take losses now. I just distract myself with either alcohol or physical activities or both.

Craziest thing for me would have to be packing my stuff up and moving from Mobile, Al to Knoxville not even knowing where I was gonna stay just so I could be close to UT. Found an apartment close to campus that afternoon.

Quit the first job I had after only a month bc I was suppose to work on the Saturday of the UT/uf game when College Gameday was on campus in '00.

I used some extra tickets from a previous game vs a nobody to get into the bigger games that year. I had forgotten about that until I read a previous post about using fake tickets. Just like that poster said it worked like a charm. I guess I wouldn't of had to do that if I didn't quit my job lol.

Every Sunday that fall I would sneak into Neyland and read the sports section of the newspaper in section Y9. I've still got pics of an empty Neyland with the field covered in snow from sometime that winter.

Stole a huge inflatable Smokey from the roof of O'Charley's on the strip at about 3am after the '02 Miami game.

Sat in the bammer student section decked out in all orange for the 5OT thriller in '03 getting cups and whatever else thrown at me. It was well worth it. Best game I've ever seen.

Back in the early 90's my father knew an asst coach at the time that took us through the locker room after a game vs Louisville. I stole Heath Shuler and Charlie Garner's shirts that they wore underneath their pads and some gloves from a wr's locker.
