I was at the Fiesta Bowl for the NATIONAL Championship. VOL fan beside me asked why I had an empty seat beside me.

I explained that my wife & I had been to EVERY post season VOL football game since we were married, but she had passed away.

He asked me why I didn't ask one of my family members to come to take her place.

I explained to him that they were all at the funeral......

When I was a kid my sister and I painted orange T's on our faces on game day. The problem was that it was about 90 degrees and not a cloud in the sky. When we got home we washed off the paint and realized that we'd gotten a tan.

The next day we showed up at church and everyone could see our T tan lines hehehe

Oh yeah, and for some reason I thought ripping all the water fountains off the wall at Clement after we lost homecoming to Rutgers was a good idea. The university disagreed. LOL

We used to 'guerilla-park' cars on gamedays, in the yards of fort residents who weren't home. Just make a sign (parking 5 bucks cheap!) and find a yard.

Great scam.

Other than that, over here in Europe, I put magnets and flags on my car on gameday and drive around the main city square blasting rocky top, trolling for American tourists who are college football fans.

"What's a Rutger?"

We found out.

Actually my memory is vague, but I think that's the game I was so UNexcited about that I took my date to the mountains instead.............
I got luckier than the Vols did.
