Anybody have stories? Because I have way too many.

So recently, a friend(not good friends or anything) asked on his facebook wall to borrow money to buy a new car. He only needed 250 bucks more so I volunteered to lend him said money. I knew he got a new job and thought he needed a car to get to said job. I even mentioned this while offering money and he never corrected me. I later found out he already had a car and he was just buying a car for the sake of buying a car. Anyways... he told me he'd pay me back in a week. It takes him two weeks and he calls and says "I only have 200, is that cool?". I say "sure". He is now two-three months late in paying back the rest of the money. He's told me like 5 times he's gonna pay me back tomorrow and he'll call/stop by but he never does. In the mean time, he always has excuses about money being tight but he's always posting on his wall about how he bought another car(junk)! a camper(junk)! and he's drinking like an 18 pack every other day. What a douche!

I have another friend with a similar story. I let him borrow some money, lent him some video games etc. And I used to pay for everything when we hung out. Food, weed, gas money... everything. So I've probably spent at least 1,000 bucks(500 on him) over a years period of hanging out. When I asked him for the 20 bucks he owes me, he gets pissed off and says if I want 20 bucks so bad, he'll give me a glass of piss. So we stopped being friends for a while and we became friends again. I even went out of my way to drive an hour away and get weed from someone I know for him. A couple months later, I asked him if he knew where to get some weed and his response was "NO!!!" in a text message. So I asked him what his problem was and he said "Take a hint retard, I don't like you".

You gotta love helping people out only for them to completely screw you over and backstab you. Does anyone else have b.s. stories like this? Because people like this shouldn't exist. I was just wondering because I've grown super annoyed by this fat ass jerking me around saying he'll pay me back and then never showing up or calling back. At this point, I'm chalking it up as a 50 dollar loss to find out he's a p.o.s. If he ever really does need help, sucks for him because he just lost a friend that would have helped him out. I really won't care what the problem is. Medical bills, getting evicted etc, F him.

P.s. I forgot to finish the story about the video games. When I asked him to return them, he said he'll leave them on the porch for me. It was suppose to rain that day so I had to drive 40 minutes one way, and 40 minutes back to get the games he left on the porch. In the mean time, I'm pretty sure the little punk was hiding inside.

Probably not the best time for this, but can you loan me $500. Need to buy gas for the car to get to work (and $450 in PS3 gear). Let me know.

Good call.

They were childhood friends though that I grew up with forever. They never used to be like that but then one day, they just turned into giant pieces of ****

a quote comes to mind.

"If you lend a friend $20.00 and never see them again, it was money well spent."

This I can relate to. At least 5 of my friends from high school are either in jail or have been in jail at some point since high school. And almost all of them are drug related. My advice to you is drop them like dead weight. They'll only bring you down.

You mean to tell me that you can't trust your pot-smoking, couch potato buddy? That's a first

I have a handful of friends that are pure mooches. I am immune to the "I'll pay next time" bit, they are always broke. Those ****ers need to get jobs.

Never lend money then get pissed when it doesn't get paid back. You took the risk. Accept the results. You freely gave money to irresponsible and inconsiderate people. Move on.

Pearl you wanted a story.

I became roommates with my best friend throughout high school. We moved into a place in Hendersonville and I got Comcast for the place put into my name ( he had the electric put in his name ). Well I got a job in Memphis, so when I was moving out I wanted to change the cable over into his name. Comcast told me that there would be about a $200 transfer fee although he wasn't changing residences. I decided to keep the service in my name to spare him of this fee. Well, about 4 months later I get a bill from Comcast for $475 for failure to return the equipment and two months service that went unpaid. I tried to contact him numerous times but he dodged me for weeks. I ended up eating the bill and never talking to him again. It was never about the money, I just couldn't believe that he would do me like that....live and learn I guess. Scumbag friends can't be trusted

Never move in with friends that haven't successfully lived on their own or already been a reliable roomate. You'll either lose a friend or be the sh!tty friend.

I'm not giving the OP advice. This is a PSA for young VolNationites.

Can't stand living with other people. I usually end up hating them

Me too! I'm a neat/clean freak and keep everything in the same place at all times. I don't like cleaning up after people or looking for lost items. I feel sorry for my future husband.
