James did a good job today. I liked what he said about tradition.

Yeah, James and his son are both pansies! I say lock them both in the closet with Leach and turn the lights out!

Leach was trashing on James' kid so hard on the Scott Ferrell show last week, said he was the most spoiled, silver spooned baby he has ever seen attempt the game of football. It was great stuff. Leach got such a raw deal outta that whole thing. I can't beleive he's not on the sideline somewhere.

Interesting that Mike Leach's name would pop up on a thread about horrible commentary....that guy redefined the term

If you formed your opinion of James only from the game today, you would say that he was very impressed with Tyler Bray and our two receivers, he liked where CDD was taking the program, and that The University of Tennessee was a place that was rich in tradition and a good symbol of College Football.

I'm sure he can be a jerk, but as ESPN announcers go, he's far from the bottom of my list. JMO

Notre Dame Bob is the worst college, Joe Morgan is worst baseball and Joe Theisman is the worst NFL. My opinion.

He was a lot more excited about Tennessee and Neyland experience than I would've bet on.

You morons complain about everything. Bobby Denton, Blob, ESPN, CBS, ABC, SI and every crew that ever worked any UT game. Its stupid.

I thought he did well, too. He said the marching band at halftime was "awesome." He enjoyed UT's gameday experience and tradition.

Yeah his praise of the game day experience at Neyland was somewhat surprising. Saying it was one of the best in college football that you need to experience was a true compliment.

It's not that he said something negative about UT, he's a douche because he used his position to try to get his son playing time

I have never been a fan of Craig James, but he had nothing but good things to say about our staff and progression since CDD's arrival. I have always liked Patrick. Although, who really cares? The only thing that really matters is that we stomped Cincy and looked impressive doing it.

Plus his response to Mike Patrick being an idiot was great.

Patrick: "I've always been confused about the name of this stadium. Is it Neyland or Nayland."

James: "I've always heard it pronounced "Neyland". Ones things for sure and that's that they call him "General"

Craig James showed more respect for UT today than we deserve. He had many good things to say about our team, our staff, our stadium, our traditions, etc etc

Some of you guys are friggin ridiculous. Patrick and James have done a great job, and James just paid UT a great compliment. Yeah, I know....ESPN hates us. Get a life.

It's got nothing to do with respect or disrespect. I truly don't care if anybody at ESPN picks for or against us, and I understand the lack of coverage because Tennessee football is simply not nationally relevant right now.

My problem with James is that he sounds like a drunkard, and not in a fun cheeky kind of way.

Craig James paying us compliments today still doesn't lessen how much of an utter douche he is. Nobody should be allowed to use their position the way he did with ESPN to ruin Mike Leach. I tuned him out for most of the second half.

It does IMO. If Leach didn't deserve it he'd be coaching somewhere else IMO.
