Hmm very confusing. its almost unanimous that tennessee is going to be terrible this year but everyone seems to think we can beat oregon. well this is the 2nd best team on our schedule. you dont stop oregons offense it stops itself early in the year

Every year lately, people are incredibly negative about the season, but incredibly over-the-top positive about the individual games... It is really a strange psychological phenomenon.

oregons offensive scheme is the best in america. dont get fooled into thinking their back up qb cant put up huge numbers on us. you might want to ask mr wilcox about the torching darron thomas put on his D in 08

IMO. This is the best offensive talent we have had in a while. And against a PAC 10 defense like Oregon's I definatly see it possible.

This is UT's best receiving core they have had in a LONG TIME. How can a QB like Bray struggle with so many weapons against a mid-level defense?

The O-line is a problem, but can't be much worse than it has been. And we all know UO is known for their pass rushing DE's :eek:lol:

You've never played football have you? It could get a hell of a lot worse. A hell of a lot.

And how is this the best recieving core we've ever had?

Played a few years ago, granted im still a JR in High school. Our O-line wont be a strong suit by any means, but not awful. Wait and see.

I am not sure how you can determine that this is the best offense or receiving corps we have had in a while. Sure there is potential there, but there are also a huge amount of question marks as well. Also what has you convinced that Bray will even see the field?? Last time I checked, Sims was the starter.

He must have a really keen eye for talent....

They will be faster, but if they can't throw the ball they are beatable.

I dont know their roster up and down but im not so sure they will be faster. We may be down but we're still in the sec. We DO have some speed.

That first sentence isn't even worth responding to.

Yes, I will agree with you that this has potential to be the best receiving corps we've had in several years, but just because Bray will have weapons, doesn't mean he won't struggle. He's going from HS ball to the fiercest conference in all of college football, playing against two NC contenders in UF and Bama. He'll struggle, it's natural.

As far as their pass rush goes, their DT's are pretty small. I'd expect a few draw plays up the gut so their DE's think twice about coming off the edge so quickly.

Wow....it's either hot or cold here.

This team has so many questions and the consensus is making a bowl this year will be an accomplishment, yet after one spring game suddenly so many believe we'll beat Oregon. Which pretty much contradicts the consensus of the season and logicially if UT can beat Oregon then we're probably in line for a 9 win season (unless it turns out beating Oregon was just some huge fluke upset).

Seriously...some of you need to slow down. I understand positive thinking and all but geez....

Blah, Blah, freakin Blah. Screw Craig James, his sour grapes and the Ducks. Let them come to Big Orange country and we'll settle it then.........Commish

Their running back LaMichael James is very similar to V Tech's Ryan Williams. Obviously that could be a problem for us.

Oregon might beat us, but they aren't going to punch one of our players in the face and make it out of town alive! That I can guarantee.

This is a guarantee that I can get behind. Especially after a few jack and cokes:)

UT hasn't faced a team like Oregon, you're right. But Wilcox has and he's the man in charge. I'll take my chances. To discredit me because im in HS makes you look like a fool. JMO.
