He was one of my favorite Vols.
I know he wasn't the most productive in Vol history, but I remember him as a great possession reciever.
How do some of you remember him?

best hands i have seen in orange...he caught a pass one year thrown behind him and he jumps, twists his body against his route reaching back with one hand to snag it...while going across the middle. he had amazing hands. the steve largent of tennessee football history.

That is what I remember, he caught whatever was thrown his way. Of all the recievers I have watched over the years, he has always stuck out to me.

Maybe CLK will show some of his highlights before florida and have him give the pre-game pep talk?

aaronvol lists a catch I remember though the "best hands" comment is some pretty heady stuff.

I remember him making another catch across the middle where he got absolutely decleated...but hung onto the ball anyway. I couldn't help but like the guy after that.

One spring we were playing basketball behind the frat houses and I got stuck gaurding him. Was holding my own until we started talking about how Kentucky lost in the NCAA and making fun of how much he loved KY b-ball. Well next thing you know he takes a couple of steps back and proceeded to jump over my head and SLAM!!!!!
I'm not huge but 5'10 and he cleared me easy!!!!
I wish he wouldn't have blown his knee or whatever he did when he wrecked his motorcycle because I bet he would have done pretty well in the NFL if he got the chance.

My favorite part of that catch was John Ward freaking out as he called it LOL

I was a kid in the stands and freaked out over that.... To this day, he's still my favorite receiver... And, I always add him to my Madden rosters.... Yes, I know, it's ghey.

Faulkner and Fleming were very underrated.......probably the steadest tandem we have had at Tennessee.

I know Cory is doing some great things here in Nashville with the youth, but where is Craig these days?

I remember Craig best when he used to come to my house in Pulaski and go deer hunting. Kevin Mays used to come with him a lot and we had a great time. There was one hunt in particular in January when the temp was around 0. Craig wore pantyhose to keep warm! :p
He didnt hear the end of it from us and Kevin but he did have a point: he stayed in the woods longer than the rest of us. :)

Id be real curious to know what he is into these days. Like others, that twisting back, over the middle one-handed grab he made is probably the UT play that most sticks in my brain. Great athlete. Was he even drafted out of college?

I was just thinking about him a few minutes ago. I was trying to remember his name but I was having a brain fart. So thanks for starting this thread. Anyways I loved his desire and work ethic...but my lasting memory of him is the Penn St. game. How does a guy who never drops a pass suddenly drop 4 3rd down passes in a game. I have thought ever since that game (which was his last by the way) that he must have owed someone money.:ermm:
