Cracker Barrel has fallen

That wouldn't be a bad idea. The payment system is antiquated as well and opens the door to dishonest customers to walk out without paying.
Walkouts are negligible. And the fact that many casual dining restaurants provide easy ways to pay without the server, device on table QR code etc, it's easy to walk out anywhere.

Who knows, maybe this failed gimmick ends up giving CB new life and they end up stronger than before. The old regulars will see this a win and maybe this sparked interest in people who’ve never been.
Most definitely. 👍 best thing thats happened to them in years! Talk about free advertising and press. Would i give them credit for having designed the outcome? 🙄

🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤙🏼

What a sanctimonious bunch of BS. "Our priorities" on a sports message board are sure as hell completely irrelevant in the grand scheme. This (and especially this forum) is a way to pass time and chat or argue with people we don't even know. There are threads on aliens, beer, Netflix, Darwin Awards, and we even have Florida and other rival posters.

Pull the stick out of your ass.
Ooo, hit a nerve on that one. Projecting?

All this talk about CB needing to improve their food reminds me of a few conversations I’ve had recently. Their food quality has went down in recent years, no question. Yet other than maybe mom and pop’s, most restaurants have went down in quality in my opinion (and many others). Everything from fast food to casual sit-downs have went down in quality. Arby’s, Pizza Hut, Ruby Tuesdays is terrible. Shoneys used to have a decent breakfast buffet, but it’s horrible now.

I don’t know if these places have changed where they get their ingredients etc. but seems like they’d rather focus on trivial things than improving their food quality.

Maybe I’m just old but food was definitely better 20 years ago. Now get off my lawn.

That’s absolutely amazing… how tf could they miss that?

They have an online ordering system but its still such a cluster that a walkie talkie is the form of communication between the kitchen and checkout stand. Checkout stand has no way to track status of orders. If something is wrong/missing with an order, checkout stand cant make a price adjustment.

They finally did start rewards program in late 2023.

I think the fact that this thread has 167 (now 168 I guess) posts since Thurs is a perfect demonstration of where our priorities lie in relation to where they should. With all the strife and problems domestically and abroad, Cracker Barrel’s logo takes center stage. Not the advent of A.I. replacing the workforce and how we’ll deal with that massive shift in our society, or massive healthcare system woes, or rampant corruption in our political system… but Cracker Barrel’s logo, look out.

Y’all are easily distracted.
Someone is big mad they leave 4+ pegs. This isn’t about the logo, it’s about being out of touch with your customer base. Seems you also have problem multitasking issues.

I make better biscuits. The quality has gone down since they started serving alcohol. Now they're charging for extra biscuits and they will not give you any jelly unless you beg them. We no longer go

Again, who cares? If you came with something better than another boring, predictable ad hominem maybe I’d be able to take you seriously.

Yes. The logo was just the rallying point for all of the pent up disappointment that has been steadily building against CB by its customer base over the past several years. It was the proverbial straw that broke the camel’s back.

Can you kindly point to the thread where you are have these meaningful conversations?

People point out the absurdity of a thread with about 170 messages about a restaurant logo. Meanwhile we will fill 170 PAGES of discussion about what color of alternative uniforms the Vols will wear for one 60 minute sporting event.
This whole website is first world silliness of the first order. But we all gladly participate because we get some level of enjoyment out of it. As long as people aren’t ignoring the true big issues of life; there is no harm in someone spending a few minutes each day with blowing off some steam.
Now go Vols and also stand up for making hashbrowns tasty again 😀

If I thought this were the crowd to have meaningful conversation with, I’d be happy to engage. Alas, I’m usually here for the lulz. If I come across anyone that wants to be spammed to death by right wing propaganda videos thread after thread, I’ll be sure to refer them right to this forum.

I dont think I'd ever call CB "solid food." Comfort food, sure. But never had it been what I'd call quality. If they were required to disclose nutritional info they'd have been done years ago. Of course, the same could be said about many restaurant chains.
How many people do you know that actually read or care about nutritional value when they go out to eat? Seriously.

I don't want to see the nutritional numbers at a casual restaurant. I know it's not healthy. They should have a separate paper on this stuff that can be provided upon request. I don't want it blaring at me on the menu

Every pizza joint on the planet would be out of business if people cared. And that's just one example. I gots to have my Stefano's every once in awhile

Long spin that you have limited knowledge in politics or world issues.
