Especially since the younger crowd they seem to be courting aren’t exactly flocking to ANY chain restaurants right now.I get that they risk losing traditional customers with these changes. What I don't get is who do they expect to attract (gain) by sterilizing their dining rooms? Who was staying away from CB saying "I'm not going there until they take those old nick knacks off the walls..."
It all comes down to quality. In a way, the restaurant business strategy is among the simplest possible. Make the best possible food and sell it at a reasonable price. Do that and branding, logos, and everything else become insignificant in comparisonWho are they trying to emulate? Surely they're not trying to be a First Watch. Trying to be a Denny's, Applebees or Perkins? Those are all struggling. If anything I just think CB expanded too much. Close the underperforming stores. I think their expansion of chicken dishes was well overdue
These company statements are crafted by the marketing, PR, and legal departments. Teams of people can work for hours or days getting it 'just right'.CB has released a statement.

Good job. I had been thinking of calling mine “Biscuit Bin”I am proud to introduce my new restaurant concept opening soon. It is based on authentic country cooking. Served in a down-home atmosphere. Welcome to Crocker Barrow.
