CPF to be an analyst on ESPN with Mark May and Lou Holtz next season.

The problem with knowing only Fulmer during your time as a fan is that you missed all the ups and downs of the program prior to his being head coach. To a certain degree, you were spoiled by the success of the 90s. I agree that 65% winning percentage this decade is unacceptable, but his record is 2nd at UT to only General Neyland. Just as any former Vol, I wish him well in his future endeavors.

Exactly! When I first started coming to UT games, a season over .500 was to be cherished. First year was 1959. Makes it easier to appreciate the positive contributions CPF made to the university.

exactly. alot of people seem to forget that fulmer and company took the program to the next level. it's been a rough decade, and i was all for a change, but i'm not just going to forget what fulmer did for the program. i'm happy that he found himself a spot on espn. it will be interesting to hear his insight next season.

The UT football program is in worse shape now, then it was when Fulmer took over it from Majors.

i was at a bar last night and there his face was on the tv. i yelled really loud like he was really in the bar and i knew him or something. "HEEEYYYY!!! PHILLIP!!! ALRIGHT!"
i was in texas so these girls to my right looked at me like "wtf"

Are you including the new coaching staff with that statement?
Thin on talent in both lines of scrimmage. I won't even mention the qb thing, thats obvious. Wr's scare nobody. Rb's have looked serviceable, but no travis henry's or jamal lewis out there running the ball. I believe that was where he was headed with his comment. Its true by the way. It is in worse shape in that regard than it was when phillip took over.
