Yes, he had it on, just like most of them do, including former coaches like Jimmy Johnson and Joe Gibbs.

He'll get better as the show goes on. That's a much different gig than his weekly show was.

Ditto!

And BTW, I guess they saw what a remarkable and outstanding job Phil did on his show. He did a good job (overall) as a coach, but an analyst?? Geez, they're desperate.

This is just a "NAME" hire. The hiring of PF on ESPN has no credibility to his "on air talent"... It's just a high profile name coach who's going to slide into obscurity after a couple of years on tv making even more money.

Coach Fulmer being on ESPN is a plus for UT football in it brings exposure to the University. To his credit, Fulmer has not made any negative comments about UT, in fact said he is still a UT fan. Anyone who cannot see this in my opinion is the idiot.

His rating as an analyst is fair to middlin', and he will get better. He brings a new prospective to the show, and at least the SEC and UT should get more mention.

I'm still waiting for Fulmer to bring up the "Miracle at South Bend".

Fulmer certainly isn't one who could make anyone look stupid, except maybe himself. He is about as articulate as a doorknob.

Fulmer didn't look any worse than Bowden. He actually looked like what I would expect for one of his first times doing something like that.

I couldn't have done any better I'm sure, but I like to think I could. I get the feeling several here feel the same.

I cant believe some of you are such Fulmerites and soooo sensitive...geez. I didnt know stating that someone is an idiot is classified as name calling. Get over it cry babies. I guess yall just havent look at the film yet. The bottom line is, he hasnt done anything in over a decade!!!!!!! And in this time of what have you done for me lately, a decade seems like a century. Im also sure yall will work like heck to make sure Fulmer seems like some kind of God. Phil was pretty much all I ever knew of TN football. I love and respect everything he has done for the university and the program. Maybe I should retract my statement of calling him an idiot. But some of the decisions he's made in the past 9years were clearly idiotic.

The problem with knowing only Fulmer during your time as a fan is that you missed all the ups and downs of the program prior to his being head coach. To a certain degree, you were spoiled by the success of the 90s. I agree that 65% winning percentage this decade is unacceptable, but his record is 2nd at UT to only General Neyland. Just as any former Vol, I wish him well in his future endeavors.

Exactly! When I first started coming to UT games, a season over .500 was uncommon. First year was 1959. Makes it easier to appreciate the positive contributions CPF made to the university.
