They have to blame someone. What gets me is most of these very people were yelling the loudest last year about benching Ainge and going with Crompton. Now they have what they wanted and now want him benched and Stephens in.

I would surmise that the way Crompton is playing now is why he didn't play and probably why Stephens is not playing.

But hey all these people know more than our Coach.

No doubt Cromton is bad, real bad, its just an example of how little all the experts on here really know.

Really. Do a search and point out some of these people. Or are you just making it up to support your point.

Didn't read the whole thread, but I think the point a few others have made on this board is worth reiterating:

Fulmer has built his impressive winning percentage against cupcake teams (Kentucky, Vandy, and SC for several years). We keep losing to our biggest rivals in recent times. Fulmer is a combined 10-21 against Urban Meyer, Nick Saban, Les Miles, Steve Spurrier and Tommy Tuberville. It is painfully obvious that he doesn't have the answer against these guys, and that's going to keep us out of the SEC Championship year after year. Last year's appearance in the SECCG was pretty much a fluke.

Phil, and much of his staff, can't keep up with their peers in SEC football. The stats don't lie. Under fulmer, UT will continue to be a second-tier SEC team like South Carolina until he leaves.

Who are we going to get better than Fulmer to run the program? From what i saw we have a QB problem not a coaching problem (at least with the auburn loss).

I was afraid of this. That Crompton may get to be so awful that it would somehow take pressure off Fulmer and the woes of the current team would be put solely on the QB. Let's not forget that Fulmer recruited Crompton, coaches him, and also decides whether or not to play him. UT was underachieving a few years before Crompton ever stepped foot on campus. We have a coaching problem.

I think you just pointed out that we have both a coaching problem AND a QB problem.
