They knew what they had before Kennedy and Smith went out and Hall was just never right. They didn't have any depth before all that, and now that is on the field. Theres only 1 way to fix it, and that can't be done until the season is over.

This^^ in a nutshell................

Yeah now you got people saying the 90’s were good but not dominant. What the he!! , I bet most on here would take the “okay” 90’s over the crap the last 10 yrs. Most doing the bitchin probably wasn’t around for the 90’s.
Or, maybe they were and know a little bit about what they were talking about.

Dominant, yes. Dominated by FL, yes. Dynasty, no.

you are baiting, I will bite, name some others. Non SEC Games. Non Ranked. or you going to just state Wyoming over and over....
Memphis '96 is the only other one. Clemson also beat us unranked but them I don't count. However, your point is made. To continue to bring up Wyoming, ESPECIALLY given the circumstances, is foolish at best.

Memphis
Maryland
Clemson (not ranked we were ranked 6th)
Notre Dame (Not ranked we were ranked 9th)
Vandy 2005 (that has to count, it's Vandy)

Since you excluded SEC loses that were inexcusable there's the list.

Thanks for the info.....Memphis is the one you can point too....Clemson was 20th.
2004 and 2005 seasons were real disasters after winning the NC and highly ranked recruiting class.

Wyoming Loss happens to the best of us....Ask any good team.....good coach or player....Stuff happens just like it did in Memphis.

Do me a favor and see if any assistant coaching changes may have contributed to the 2005 & 2007 seasons....

So far? No more foolish than thinking this ship is getting right anytime soon. But go ahead and keep dreaming and wooing.

Great news. Part of his job title for 16 years was offensive line coach and of course also played guard for some great UT teams. Not something he should be doing full time, but over a practice or two, he probably can offer some good insights in an area that is the weakest link currently.

At this point I wouldn’t mind seeing him on the sidelines suited up to play rather than coach. He could do better than what we have been running out there.

I guess what troubled me Saturday was the obvious visual picture we had on several plays of our OL simply taking plays off...Not an attack on their character (could be a physical issue, stamina etc) but I know of at least three plays where the OL just basically didn't stay on their blocks....now I do think Charlotte was better on the defensive front than we would want to give credit for but still a Vol team should dominate both lines of scrimmage against that team and...well..we just didn't... at least on offense...

At this stage of the game, each individual on the OL and TEs need their very own dedicated coach to get them back to being serviceable.

I don’t care how good of a coach you are; you will eventually lose games that make people scratch their heads. Just look at Nick Saban:
2007 Louisiana Monroe beat Alabama 21-14
2000 Alabama-Birmingham beat LSU 13-10

Troy beat LSU last year
Old Dominion beat VT
Perdue drubbing OSU
Missouri beating UF
Utah beating Alabama in 2009
VT beating OSU in 2014
TAMU beat Alabama in 2012

Those type of games happen a lot.

It is killing Fulmer more than anyone on the Hill to see his position...his bread/butter of the offense...a position he put so many VFL’s into the NFL from here......play like they don’t give a damn and a football IQ of “potato” after the snap.

You can say what you want about his final full years as a HC but the man knew games were won in the trenches better than anyone. I don’t give a damn if he gets us a minor NCAA infraction...something or someone has got to lead these guys to the light switch to turn the bulbs on in their heads.

Sorry, we don't need this defunct clown coaching the OL or having any influence over the program. He's already killed UT football once, can't tolerate any more of his tampering.
