Coyotes in the backyard?

razorblade biscuits work wonders.

or just take a hook, hang it about chest high from a tree with a raw chicken breast on it. When he grabs hold, ain't no coming down.
I hunt coyotes during turkey/deer offseason, usually bring a 243 or a 25-06.

Awesome idea

I had one a couple of years ago. The past couple of days the dog has been barking alot. Now I know why.

my subd. is out in the country, and my backyard is next to a farm. we have them out there. nothing a 40 can't handle

I live on a farm and we get them a lot! You can walk onto my back porch and hear them "yelling" They aren't very far away either.

I think worse case scenario is if they huff and puff and blow OWB's house down.
That's a wolf!! :p

VH, I would chastise you for reviving an 8 month dead thread, except 1) your post is about this exact subject... and 2) this thread is HILARIOUS.

Comedy gold. :) I love this place.

I live about 30 to 40 minutes northwest of Nashville and we have them all over the place. I've seen them in my backyard and in the woods and ravine behind my house. Certain night when the cows in the field near my house are calving they go crazy and you can hear them all night.

Good news is they have a healthy fear of humans and when I see one nosing around a gunshot scares them off. Never had any problems out of them.

I'm in the tri cities area and I can hear them howling off in the distance a lot of nights. I saw one during the day around lunch time about 4 years ago. Never saw it again, but I can hear them.

I had them all around when I was growing up in east tennessee, only had a problem once when took down a neighbors calf. They are naturally scared of people, and only come around if theres trash or food left out. They really won't bother you, now your small pets might be a different story. I would exhaust every option but killing it personally.
