Cowardly perfeormance

49 pts, 14 in 2nd half, with #1 on their heels. Horrible halftime speech, plan, and in game adjustments. Awful. Period. And its the same thing we do in big or fight games for 3 years now. Screw Florida. We were beating their asses. Then got scared and ran the shot clock down 90% of possessions.
Same thing many some feared would happen.
49 pts in 3 games against UF with 2 all sec players. Its bad. At least go down attacking.

I think it was appropriate. Going toe to toe to me makes it sound as if there was some sort of give and take. I didn't see a back and forth game for 40 minutes. I saw a nice first half and a slow painful death in the 2nd half.

We were tied at 45 with 5 minutes left, and down by two before the technical foul. We were STILL in the game after not scoring for 9 MINUTES.

Your opinion has zero to do with us simply asking you to show some class and not flame players

So saying a performance was cowardly is flaming the players or saying their comments were idiotic is flaming, I guess it must have been pointing out their terrible record in close games.

I don't know that Donovan did anything earth shattering in the 2nd half, other than dial up the press after makes.

Ray Charles could see that coming.

What about attacking the Tennessee bigs in the paint? That was the difference in the first have and the second half IMO.

I don't think Donovan adjusted one iota. Florida just came out and played marginally better in the second half and the press worked a couple more times.

Florida and Donavan are known for second half adjustments. To beat them, you have to play the full game. Nuff said. I really hope we have more interesting games in the NCAAT. I really think we can get to the s16 NOT having to face Florida. All the SEC sucks people close your ears but you probably aren't listening anyway.

There is nothing ridiculous about it. Mcrae and Stokes are better than anyone Florida has on their team. Tennessee is more athletic than florida, physically stronger than florida, and apparently far weaker mentally than florida. Florida may have went undefeated but they are far from an all time great SEC team and Ill guarantee you right now that they will not be in the final four. The idea that it is impossible to make them pay for that press is just absurd. the idea is to fire passes on a line to the open man as the trap/double team comes, not wait for it to come and then lob it to the open man. There are teams that will dunk on florida all night.

I guess they haven't played anybody in that 31-2 run and are totally undeseving of their No. 1 ranking. Thanks for your insight.

I'm waiting?
Dude...just read the board.

And keep bumping all you want.

To set the record straight, I'm not condoning referring to players as idiots or cowards.

My comment is aimed at those posters who do nothing but attack those who dare question CCM.

Bless your heart. :eek:lol:

Stokes, yes. McRae, no. There's a HUGE drop off in talent and basketball IQ after those two. I don't know that anyone other than Stokes or McRae would crack UF's rotation.

But sure, the #1 team in the country overachieved today by beating an unranked UT squad clinging to an NCAA berth.

They sure haven't played anyone in a long time. The SEC is competitively bad. Tennessee and Kentucky have major potential but are probably 2 of the very most disappointing teams in the whole country. They wont be in the final four.

To be fair, Tennessee matches up with UF better than anyone in the SEC.

Even with Patric Young, we have no answer for Stokes.

But yeah, UF did beat a few decent teams this year. :)

I just don't see that. Back about 3 weeks ago, I don't think there was anybody left still defending Martin.

Why is everyone so bent out of shape about this loss?

It came down to the wire, and our guard play wasn't good enough to win it late.

And the Maymon thing. But good night, no reason to cut your wrists over it. It was a good game.

Florida didn't overachieve today they have overachieved all year. Maymon, Stokes, and Mcrae would clearly start for florida. Again, Florida will not be in the final four.
