I already said unequivocally that "yes" I would be happy for my son to play for Butch. I would not in any way want my son playing for your crook basketball coach.

Clear enough?

Man you sure are smart. You're right, Internet rumors about coaches are always correct. Just like a couple weeks ago Lane Kiffin slept with Sabans daughter... oh

I still get a laugh out of the media that once protected Dooley. They don't miss a chance to make fun of him now. Once he was gone the stories flowed freely....

But losing 7 at what was once considered at top 5 job is ok? But I see the predicament. Until someone higher up allows boosters to do what boosters do best, which is to spend their money to get who they want then it's gonna be a cluster. Let the boosters buy the coach you need

Lane was sticking everything with a hole in knoxville, so the likelihood is great. And I read it was a boosters wife, which is much more believable.

I look at it as a start up, 3 years in and breaking even and competing with the big boys isn't exactly "doing squat".

But no, I don't like to hire people who go off in a hissy.

The rumors out of Tuscaloosa aren't dead....but their damage control is much more effective. I tend to believe the booster rumor. He's still drawing breath, so its unlikely that it was Sabans daughter.

No, I expected more this year. and I am as disappointed as anybody. And, the emotional response is to look at the scores and yell "Fahr Butch."

But, I am more of an analytic and like to look at the entire picture and understand why. There have been some coaching errors and I do have serious concerns about coaching up players, etc. (go look at my past posts and you will see I have been as critical of Butch as anybody). But, there are still some serious roster issues, especially with the injuries to Jackson and Maggitt. Our WR position is decimated. I don't think our QB is an SEC level passer, either, and he never has been very strong passing the ball.

We finished about where I expected in years one and two. If you think we had much talent in those years, then we will have to agree to disagree.

We now have more talent, but it still is exceptionally young. You can't expect Tuttle, McKenzie and Kirkland to play a lot of snaps on defense and not anticipate some problems. And, next to QB, that is our next biggest weakness and the reason we have blown the late leads.

I took the UT optio off the table at the beginning cause some of you would let your child play for UT if hitler was the coach and dahmer and the Unabomber were the coordinators.

I'm perfectly calm this morning. And hate to break it to you but we aren't even breaking even at this point.

I wouldn't want to work for someone that doesn't know what direction they're company is headed in.

I haven't read all 261 pages so this may of been addressed already: say this incident actually did take place, what then? Does he get fired and we promote someone to interim coach until we HOPEFULLY find a big name coach? Do you think this would damage the chances of a bigger name coach coming to TN?

I am only talking hypothetically of course. I just wonder where this would leave the program; from the Kiffin debacle, to Dooley, and now this. What a mess. I really hope this didn't happen. I did read on SDS that there is potentially a video of the altercation though. I am hoping this is just a rumor and nothing more.

In 261 pages it may of already been discovered that this is indeed just a rumor and theres no truth to it. If that is the case then disregard. I was just thinking all of this while reading some of this thread/the news.

So you'd be satisfied with your child sacrificing all that to earn a coach 3.5 mil/year and be left trying to get a job at some company with ut connections instead of signing Max contracts in the pros?

In my crystal ball I see Hart (boosters) demanding some serious staff changes at the end of the year which will lead to some upgrades. CBJ fights it, he just might be gone. He accepts it and looks at like an opportunity he will probably be successful.

Now if the AD doesn't give him the money to hire who he needs, they all should be gone.
