If he has lost the team, it would have been from a lot more than this. He's been treading in some dangerous waters for a long time with regards to "losing the team". Besides, if anyone knows what happened or didn't happen with this situation, it's the players.

Here is where you can reconcile Skeeter and Swain: they both agree there was an "altercation." Note Swain's strategic use of this word, though, and his willingness to let his listeners speculate on what it means. It wasn't too large of a leap for the growing frustrated-with-losing crowd to run with it to mean a slugfest took place.

Note that Skeeter didn't use vague terms. He provided details.

This is hack journalism by Swain and his crew at its finest. The loser who asked Butch the question in the press conference should have his credentials revoked if this is all it was.

What are Steeler's thoughts on what Skeeter has posted, or has he gone into hiding? I was calling this out last night and looks some of you may be owing be an apology. Looks like him and those close to him thought he would finish this year out and go to the NFL and make millions, then towards the beginning of the season he was getting beat out and it was all because Jones has some sort of agenda to make sure Mack isn't successful.


But anyways, Steeler, give us your thoughts regarding the information Skeeter has provided

One can reasonably assume Butch didn't know the question was coming.

If that's correct, it could also be reasonably assumed that Butch didn't immediately know what Stokes was talking about since the alleged "altercation" occurred during camp. It was a very vague question that could have meant anything. Further, Butch is undoubtedly focused on the immediate situation - the loss to Arkansas and the upcoming game with Georgia. Why would this come up now?

Pretty reasonable explanation - and realistic.

That would be Swain's partner in the morning, Seth Stokes who is nothing more than a butt hurt child who has an agenda. He is extremely unprofessional imho.

I respect skeeter as a informed and valuable poster, but how is him hearing from three people that saw it any different from steeler hearing about it from someone involved....except that it fits your personal narrative of the situation? Neither of them saw it, so we still don't know. The video holds the truth, and the University isn't coming off of it.

Went to my first UT game when I was 12. Lived in Nashville and actually worked selling popcorn at Vandy stadium in order to watch them play Vandy one year. I have a BS in Civil Engineering from Tennessee in 1983...

At least I'm not toxic and care about my school and the public perception of it...of course I'm guessing you never went to UT so there's that...

One of 2 types of altercation happened here it seems:

1) cbj struck or punched a player

OR

2) CBJ was involved in a heated verbal conformation where he did lay his hands on a player. This is skeeters and others story.


Either way there is ZERO good that cAn come of releasing the video of the incident.

Make a statement that there was no wrong doing found and move on but we damn sure don't need such a video out there for recruiting against us.
