If Skeeter's version is correct, why didn't Butch just explain it like that during the press conference, and why don't Crowders just explain it that way, since according to SV, they just want this story to go away?

If you lived in Ala for 18 yrs like I have you will change that opinion. Trust me it was just as bad or worse here when Ala went through Debose,Shula,Price and Franchione. I guarantee it goes on on everywhere, especially in the SEC and all fans are the same.

I'm starting to believe there's nothing to this. I do think it's odd though that this is how Butch shows up to practice.

Yea they keep showing up to the games after loses.

Too much time and money is spent seeing lose after lose. Up decent in those first two. Players looked disinterested in the last game.

That is not on fans. We dont accept losing like vandy.

you think Swain would have his advertisers which pay his salary and his radio if it is determined that the whole thing is a made up story - many his his advertisers are long Vol supporters. Dont think he would bet his career on something made up or blown out of proportion. But thats just my take.

Facts......no. He said she said...yes. I really hope this never happened and if it didn't I hope whoever started this rumor gets atomic blazing diarrhea and can only find 60 grit sand paper to clean up with. Ironically I've fallen off the Butch train after our recent success in the loss department but rumors are uncalled for and ruin reputations (unless proven to be true). He may not be the right coach for Tennessee but that doesn't mean all rumors started about him on a vol message board are good tools for judging his character. Innocent until proven guilty.

Because, if he did he would be giving credibity to those who started the baseless rumor.

If there was an agenda Butch would have been fired last December after word got back to high school coaches about his "abrasive teaching and motivational methods" and how he belittled players in front of coaches and their teammates.

I do get tired of hearing resilient, individuals and youth in every press conference and numerous times in each one. He needs to change up his pitch.

Like I posted earlier, everybody very well could be sincere. I have a feeling that Butch indeed thinks this is ridiculous and Crowder indeed thinks it was a bigger deal for whatever reason.
