As a father of a Four Star recruit,I worry that the fire Jones rhetoric will scare recruits away faster than than UT can blow a double digit lead.

Technically speaking, he didn't deny it. All he said is "absoultely ridiculous" followed by an awkward silence and a dead-eyed smirk.

TIFWIW, but I have a reliable source (my pastor's mistress's cousin's attorney's janitor) who told me that Butch was legally advised not to answer in the affirmative or negative for later on when this is brought to court.

From what I've read it's a bunch of BS.... An Olineman in pads got punched or forearmed in the chest by a 5'9" 180 lb 47 year old coach.... Not out of anger but as a demonstrative action....

if butch did this and got fired,people say nobody would want to come with our recent coaching history. If so can we ever pull out of this? Its been 8 years and running.

There will be no winners on either side of this argument!The truth is somewhere in the middle. Not as bad as some have speculated but not good either. WE all lose! it don't matter if your hanging on to CBJs nut sack or want to use it as a way to get rid of him. The very nature of all of this is a black eye for the program and the University!

Again, regardless of the outcome, we all lose! I wouldn't be to proud to be on either side!

Yes, but that eventually catches up in the form of smaller classes down the road. Unless the revolving door continues with departures and he's able to take 25+ continuously. Then he's back to relying on less upperclassmen.

Look, I'm sorry you feel your former coach picked on you and that's the reason you didn't go all the way, I really am.
Maybe that was the case. But if anything, sounds like you have more of reason to go after someone with very limited information because you feel that you were short changed.

Either way, I still found Gilliams play above his backup, no matter what your coach did. The man played better on one leg than his backup and I think your "awarded" without reason remark is off base.

Guess you missed the part where I said I was 5'2 and weighed 110# in HS; I was never going anywhere lol. The points both tried to make have been lost and derailed. I call truce and bow out.

I just want to win 8-9 games a year is that asking too much. I can stand some time between secc but this 5-7 win seasons suck really bad.

If butch did this and gets fired for it, I would guess he would not be the only one shown the door, namely dave hart. hart would now have two coaches on his watch that were fired with cause(tyndall being the other) and I don't see how he would remain.

A new AD could prove to be the beginning stages of a new way of doing things and a new attitude on how athletics is handled up on the hill. Just my humble opinion.
