Crowder could shut this down, if he lets it run on it turns out to be something like a helmet slap I view it has conduct detrimental to the team. If it turns out CBJ truly sucker punched him to the gut, then it should have been handled differently than fueling internet rumors. I'm sorry but two wrongs don't make a right. And I really have a hard time believing he would sucker punch someone to the gut. If he did so be it, I'd hate to see it end that way when he is literally knocking the door of success here. But I think the way this has gotten is pure chickens***

Most coaches simply put you in the center of the bullring or "circle" drill and stand back and laugh. Sounds like Crowder got off easy and might have shown Jones a lack of character in the process.

I agree with this. If you take everything we've heard as gospel, i.e. he punched him at practice as a demonstration of "toughness" or whatever dumb @#$#, then so what? Crowder is in pads, presumably getting hit much harder than that repeatedly. It's not like they are saying he Mike Tyson'd him or anything. I've got a million problems with Butch, but this is definitely not one.

I don't think anyone close to the program will deny that Butch can get heated and coaches hard. That isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Honestly, I just want somebody to step up and say that it either DID or DID NOT happen, with their name on the line. It would go a long way to settle this and get the focus back on fixing the on-field problems.
