Id say they are crying over buying the snake oil that Jones sold them during their recruitment. Very likeable guy but most salesmen are likeable.

Yeah, because the team is never a reflection of their coach. Or they never take on the personality of their coach. Or any of the other coaching-team cliches.

Did you ever play an organized sport of any kind? Not trying to come across as an ass, it's just that I would expect a statement like that would come from someone that had never played an organized sport.

It was never characterized as a shoving match; this thread would have ended 90 pages ago.

The original statement was that Butch punched Crowder, and Crowder responded by pushing Butch down and going after him until others pulled him off.

Since then some have referred to the incident as a simple shoving match; which I guess wouldn't be looked on as harshly.

Well bub, you should be the first to understand that most teams do take on the personality of their coach. As the coach goes so goes the team.

Apparently Butch called Crowder this morning asking him to tweet his unfailing support for Butch, but Crowder was not so inclined.

I doubt that is the case. This team has a lot of "UT blood" on it.

If it is, his recruiting props have been revoked.:)

I believe it happened because it is par for the course for Tennessee.....this place has been a dumpster fire every since we fired fulmer

This board is f***ed up beyond recognition at this point. Have I read through all 1500 posts? No. Have I read enough to see that you guys are totally flipping out over unsubstantiated rumours? Absolutely. I don't know if this is true or not true. I do know it is highly unlikely that if Jones hit a player it could be kept quiet this long. I suspect it feeds the agenda of multiple posters on this sight and it's really ridiculous to further rumours of this magnitude on no real information. JMO.

So much out there and as the day progressed more fuel got thrown on the fire. I'm not a coach 24 fan by any means but no matter how this plays out its not good for Tennessee. Right now I'm leaning towards that these rumors are truth based on the fact I dont think VFL Swain who has been nothing but supportive of Butch would put his neck out there like this just for spite. As far as Alan Posey goes I'm not sure whats driving him but it kind of adds up with what others have said all along. Lets let this play out and go from there. Again either way this is bad for Tennessee because the damage is already done.

Now when have I suggested that but let me clarify I don't believe there is much truth to it and has been ramped up by people who want him to be fired at all costs.
