The "let me educate you" was about accepting and not accepting penalties when it's half the distance type penalties. It had zero to do with a frigging chart. When it comes to the chart, Butch said he knew what it said but he went with his gut and went for one, which tells us he didn't have confidence we would make it. Unbelievable how all this stuff gets turned around.I could be wrong, but I think that their butting of heads really kicked off after the Florida game when SS asked him about his chart. Jones said something to the effect of "let me educate you" it what I heard as a condisending manner. Funny thing is that apparently the chart referred to by jones says to go for two which contradicted jones' statement.
I think one thing butch will have to overcome (besides losing football games) is not owning his role in it and if he doesn't want to say "I jacked that one up" then at least create a narrative that is logical.
When's the last time MZTerry posted or Austin Sanders' dad/uncle or Kendrick's brother (I think). I don't know how you patrol it, but it seems that some of the parents/relatives posts have been fewer and far between over the last couple of seasons. We also know Butch has greatly curtailed media access and info coming out of practice. It's not far fetched to believe he's set up some "rules". Must protect the fragile team and not let negativity creep into the locker room (said in my best western Michigan accent of course).
I'm here. I just don't post and there aren't any regulations on ME being able to say anything I think , I might, or will say. lol :loco:
I've just learned that there is so much negativity surrounding our team right now, that it's not worth the conversation here on V-nation. I just sit back and watch the cyber coaches talk about all the mess & the team; whether it be true or not. We should all want to protect the team / boys specifically....
As parents, our sons are your entertainment, and I have enough to contend with other than the messiness that goes on, on these boards which is borderline crazy, and we (THE PARENTS) have to deal with our sons first and whatever they may be feeling after each game- then our immediate people who aren't fans of the Vols, asking us dumb azz questions on Monday morning, or leaving you a note on desk with smiley faces for the way the games turns out, then read/listen to the MEGA NEGA VOLS (bandwagon fans) on top of it. I throw my hands up.:thud:
"take notes, find out who's with you or against you. Write it down on a piece of paper and put in your back pocket"
I understand that clearly. Ride or die...
