You do realize that the media set this entire story line up correct? They knew that they would win either way. If UT had a winning season they could pat themselves on the back and if UT had a losing season they could have a great time working VN into a lather. That is how the media works and VN always falls for it.

People's expectations were so high, and then it didn't happen so they were irate……wait, that seems exactly what's happening with the season.

Exactly, just something that happens between players and coaches all the time. If you don't play for a coach that is passionate yells, you are not playing for a real coach. There will still be some clamoring for a firing after a non-incident. His behavior on the field as a head coach is another story, it speaks for itself

No...there are still some here whose heads would explode if that got going again.

I'm happy in knowing the info was good, and that he has recently said some pretty glowing things about us. We know what we know. I just hate it angered so many posters.

Tennessee is still a long way from getting the top recruits. I don't care what the recruiting class ratings state. This is a 6 year process at UT for Jones. Keep whining and get Jones fired and this program will stink for another 10 years.

He didn't say what type of incident it was. Very well could've been what has been speculated about in here and it may have just been a shouting match. His post neither confirms or denies anything. Just that he knows people that say what has been talked about here happened or at the very least they heard the same thing.

There is no job in FBS where you're getting 6 years to turn it around, except maybe Charlotte or UAB. Definitely not getting that long in a Power 5 conference.

Butch will more than likely get at least 4 years (barring a total meltdown). After 4 if we aren't better, its time to move on.

No, I think if you've watched any of the games this season it's pretty obvious why the natives are restless. As much fun as the Gruden threads were, I'm pretty sure that all of us would rather be winning with Butch.
