Heard that this is a big thing for the SEC. I dont know if its already been said but everyone be VERY careful buying tickets from people.

Could someone cut and paste what a real ticket looks like? I have one from 2001 and I am sure they have changed since then. I know the feel and the weight have a lot to do with it as well.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Buy them in well lit areas and in crowds to make sure some guy is not going to grab and run. ATL is notorious for counterfeiters and the Dome is their playground.

Here's some ideas

So how do you know if your tickets real? First, check out the the SEC logo. Rub your fingers over it. It should be imprinted in the ticket. If it's a sticker, you found a fake.
Also look at the black and white.
"Make sure the font looks familiar with the other ones you've seen and ask the ticket broker to see all his tickets and make sure they're different locations. A lot of times they'll print the same seats over and over again," Carpenter said.

A news story lined to volnation the other day said the SEC logo is imprinted on the tickets, and that counterfeiters would use a sticker. I pulled my ticket from last year, and the SEC logo was imprinted on the ticket and was very glossy. My suggestion is to rub your finger over the SEC logo and then try to peal it off.

Haha, you could. They aren't mine I just pulled them from an Ebay auction. Most of them have pictures of their tickets. If they are selling tickets and don't post a picture of them, I wouldn't buy thme but thats just me.

I have bought and sold tickets on Ebay before with no problem. A couple of hints for newbies.

First, you can check and see how long the person has been a member of Ebay and what their feedback is and over how long. I don't buy from people who have been a member for less than a year and/or have less than 50 or so transactions with a high feedback rating, like at least 98 % positive.

You can also read the feedback and often times, if they sell a lot of tickets, the feedback will mention that it was tickets and that they were good or as represented. Those are all good signs.

Just beware people selling stuff where they are brand new to Ebay or haven't got many transactions or serial bad feedback.

That's what everyone says. Me, I just worry I would get down there and not get any tickets and be upset. So I was willing to pay $250 to someone I knew had the tickets and handed them to me personnally.
