I can’t wait. I’m bringing my son and foster son from NC to watch Market Square madness. I have already turned the foster son into a UT baseball and football fan. It is time to get fired up about Vol and Lady Vol basketball.

going to wait closer to time to see what is opened up. My parents came and visited for my son’s birthday. They had to take the dragon.

nice, I’m hoping to avoid it. Semis are using it now as well.
Semis on the Dragon? Good Lord! I use to camp and fish at Santeelah Lake and the Dragon was the only way to get there. I've left the contents of my stomach on every one of those 100 plus curves!

They've been periodically closing Newfound Gap Rd btw Gatlinburg and Cherokee bc of heavy semi traffic. The disruption to commerce and tourism not having 40 available causes is incalcuable. I think we still haven't realized the whole picture of the devastation in that area. So many places I loved hiking like Chimney Rock, Hot Springs, Banner Elk are nearly gone. My daughter lived in Boone for a while and we love that area too. So sad.

Have you seen the newly opened "foothills parkway"...here is a link to a live camera shot at the end of it,,,a place called "Look Rock"...

I use these live camera shots to gage when to go for fall colors

Been going to Look Rock and that part of the Foothills Pky for years and years. Use to go over that way to Chilhowee Lake which is the at the foot of the Dragon. Haven't been on the new part yet though. I love the Townsend/Walland area. Quiet side of the Smokies.

So many times, including an annual midnight run to the Dome w other drunken drug addled UT bros in the 70s. Not sure how we even survived the drive up there. It's now been rerstored to it's native name Kuwohi.

Hope other posters aren't too mad about our nostalgia for our mountains. We're pretty sad about our beloved Smokies/Blue Ridge. Also, Gatlinburg and P Forge are emphasizing they are open for fall leaf looking. Maybe hard to get there, but they're open. The loss of those tourist dollars will add to the devastation.

Only thing making us feel better is our forever QUEEN Dolly stepping up as always. I'm not sure our country could survive the loss of her.

If they are mad, get over it. I love reminiscing about summer trips to the Sinks and hiking the trails out of Cades Cove, Anthony’s Creek.

122 to 60 is my Carson Newmand prediction. Show me that we can guard the three better than last year's team.

I think our players will have the legs for some tenacious defense this season. As we all know, good defense is tiring as hell, but from all we're hearing, our Lady Vols are being well-prepared to get after it and STAY after it. I'm so excited for them!

What I am counting on tenacious defense and forcing a lot of mistakes.
