I'd be willing to bet the guy had a medical redshirt in addition to the normal redshirt somewhere along the way

he would need to appeal for another year and he would get turned down because he has no legitimate reason why he should be given another year. its not like he got injured or something.

He would have had to have been redshirted for his 5th year and gotten a rare medical redshirt for his 6th year. That is what Austin Rogers is trying to do now and is not feeling optimistic about.

He is a 5th yr senior.

Someone won an award just now that was a 6th yr senior

to get a 6th year you have to basically miss 2 seasons with injuries. then you can appeal to NCAA for a 6th season. they may or may not grant it depending on details of injuries and time missed.

Crompton only missed one season due to an injury during his true freshman year.

If you don't think he was "injured" last year, up until the fourth quarter of the Auburn game this year, then you have lost it!

Crompton should be the first considered as a "sixth year" senior!!

(Not bashing Crompton, he is my new hero! Dang I wish we had another year with him!! Just cuttin' up a little!:td:)

He was definitely injured by poor coaching. No telling how much money he will lose in the NFL draft.

WoW, I never thought I'd see this. That's a good thing though. But no, those are reserved for rare, serious injuries. I'm proud of him too but I'm ready for someone else. Let's air it out to these 6' 4" + guys we got comin in!!! V B
