Could we soon see sponsored logos on the field?

This is just craziness and its truly nothing but money, money, money.
A league that gets in bed with any kind of venture capital group is eventually going to lose a portion of control over their product.

This is not good.
No kidding!

To say the horse is out of the barn is an understatement! This isn’t a sustainable business model for 100 + D1 teams.

I'm not thrilled with the direction of the sport, either, but we have no choice but to embrace it. It's a new era.
Yup, the sport is evolving fast and not always for the better. That being said I've put too much of my life into TN Football to ever walk away. In 10 years AI robots can be taking the field and as long as they're rocking the Power T I will watch. I'm riding this train to the graveyard Hoss

That is exactly what I expect they will do. It will not be a physical change to the field but digital
It would be awesome if every time a Kentucky player got cramps or faked an injury during a home game, a digital "CLEAN UP ON AISLE 7, BROUGHT TO YOU BY KROGER" would appear on the field beside the player. :)

The Big 10 is hellbent on selling out college football to corporations. I get the feeling that if we don’t get a commissioner with some brains and a set of balls for the SEC, we’re going to be watching another sport dedicated to politics rather than competition.

The Big 10 is nothing if SEC fans don’t watch the games. The sooner we get a commissioner who works for the SEC’s fans instead of corporate interests, we’ll see the sport beginning to head in a more positive direction.

Sankey is ****ing it up, whether he means to or not.

I'd like someone to find me some great examples of where our modern version of venture capital has actually resulted in a better product and wasn't just straight up parasitism.

It’s not all their fault. There’s more demand for investment than there are good businesses in which to responsibly invest.

They’re just the salesmen.

I guess you haven’t noticed the physical Pilot logo already on the field.

Sure, and I am not saying they wont have physical logos on the field, especially in the center for main sponsor. But when you can have a different sponsor each game or even several, you are going to sell that eyeball space and now technology makes it easy to do so.

It is a shame and I dont like it but it is what it is.
