Could we see a 2 QB system?

Personally, I don't think I would play Worley the rest of the year. The future is with Dobbs. He is one of the major kids CBJ went after during his first year recruiting. If not for the injuries, Dobbs would still be on the bench as CBJ was trying to get that redshirt and move towards the future.

Think about this, the majority of our offense will be back with the exception of Worley, I would give our future QB as many live reps as possible. Especially now the red shirt has been burned. Peterman is not the guy, I think CBJ just put him in there to 1 not burn Dobbs' red shirt and 2 he probably though Peterman would be able to manage the game.

Worley is a great kid and bleeds orange, but sometimes hard decisions have to be made regardless of how much you respect or like someone...especially in football. CBJ will make the call, and if I were a betting man...Dobbs will start every game the rest of the season.

Next time we see Worley take the field will be senior day as he embraces CBJ and moves towards his future. Just my 2 cents.

Honestly im not sure CBJ is going to flat out bench Worley if he is healthy. Worley has earned his spot and it wouldnt be fair to him to give his job away while he is injured.

Thats being said, there is no denying Dobbs brings another demention to our offense and opens up things for our RBs and WRs. Youve already burnt his red shirt, you have nothing to lose and everything to gain by letting him play.

So I ask VN, what are the chances we see Worley and Dobbs both on Saturday?

Coach Jones this week: "I haven't (done that) in the past just because I like to have a quarterback get into the rhythm of the game and get a feel for it, but right now we're scratching and clawing for every victory we can," Jones said. "Whatever it takes to win football games right now, that's what we're looking to do."

Dobbs -- with all his new 216+/- lb weight, ability to stand in the pocket and take hits during throws, sling 40+ yds, scan/not stare down receivers, scramble, run left/right/middle -- has a very similar accuracy/completion% as does Justin (to this point). I can't see why Justin (after the cat's now out of the bag) would start over Dobbs (because his staying in the pocket leads to too many sacks/loss of yrd/incompetent-looking OL), and I can't yet determine what situation would require inserting Justin (except that this is his senior year, and Staff wants to give him final playing time, which I'm fine with, otherwise). I wanted a Justin + Dobbs system as early on as the OK game -- and I know Coach disagreed with me (virtually, that is) -- but I can't see cause for a Dobbs + Justin system (yet).

CBJ will play the one that has the best week of practice...Peterman practices the best will start....Dobbs will play on third series after we are down 17-0.

The offensive line can't protect a non-mobile QB like Worley. It worked somewhat at the beginning of the season but they've been exposed & injured now; if Dobbs doesn't play from here out we won't make a bowl game.

This!

As smart and heady and capable to hit a wide open receiver as Worley seems to be, he is a sitting duck trying to hide in the pocket behind that Oline. I will be disappointed if Dobbs or some other mobile QB does not run the show from here on.

Off topic, but I wasn't aware Peterman was a 4* coming out of HS and ranked just ahead of Towles at KY according to Rivals. I just don't see very much upside with him.

Peterman has all the physical tools he just never has looked comfortable in the role. He's had every chance in spring and fall practices to grab the role, but has been unable to do it for whatever reason. I don't know if it is a case of not being able to fully understand the offense at this level, or defenses at this level, but whatever it is he just does not look comfortable to me when he has been in games. Dobbs on the other hand, while he still has a long way to go with his passing and which running lane to take, at least looked very comfortable coming in against a formidable Bama defense. And the offensive guys seemed very comforable with him.

I think Worley's injury is pretty much a season-ender. My guess is the next time we see Worley in a game is a symbolic start on senior day.

Worley's not healthy. Heard on both Swain's and Rti's shows this morning that Worley doesn't move/swing his arm at all when running as of yesterday's practice. Jones hasn't let media see qbs throw at all this week. I think those 2 points mean Worley is injured pretty badly and may not play again this year.

Tell this to Drew Bledson or Alex Smith, if Dobbs makes this team betterthen he should play. People complained that Fulmer was to loyal and coaches get paid to win games not be loyal to players just because they been around a while. I think Worley has a done an above average job and hate that he got injured but I want the best players on the field at all times

Drew Bledsoe :victory: Brady and Romo. Sometimes the next guy up is just better...you can be loyal or you can win.
