...keep the offense simple until the OLine gels?

With the working assumption the D wouldn't give up 225 yards rushing?

No way Chaney and Tee can't get more production out of the Off talent we have.

I’m sure we just didn’t want to show too much of our offense to Florida. So we were keeping it vanilla. We also didn’t want to show too much of our defense so they won’t be sure which way to run or pass.

Trust me after the past few years..........everyone knows to run all over Tennessee. Even Missouri knows and they pass for like 800 yards a game............GA ST sure got the memo.

Possibly at first. But I think Chaney was trying to give JG what he could handle. He was trying to get him in rhythm with easy throws, but he was like a deer looking at headlights.

Pruitt is paid to have all this figured out before game day. All the moving players around is garbage. Unreal we still don't know who our best linemen are. Dude should've been fired by the start of the 4th, and taken JG with him.

I'm actually worried we threw everything we had at them and even had an equipment manager go back to Pruitt's office to load up NCAA Football 2014, just to get a couple plays from there, too.

Deer in headlights are more decisive, with a better grasp of what's bearing down on them, and which way to go. They probably read defenses better too. Neither the deer in headlights nor JG have beaten a sun belt team this year. So that's a wash.

Still believing there exists a "plan" in 2019...

The only thing that makes sense is that this was our trap game of the year and by that I mean we got caught looking ahead to byu and everything went wrong. If Pruitt is as good as his resume is then id say this coming week is gonna be hell and byu is gonna get demolished.

JG can't or won't throw it down the field. Doesn't matter who the OC is, it's not one of his abilities. That kind of limits you. It basically let GA State not worry about defense beyond 10 yards down the field. That means they can stuff the run because the OL is tissue soft and get after the QB without worrying they will get beat down the field.

So look for today's plan to be the plan all season.

I think ultimately, Pruitt and Co. are extremely confident in their football prowess. I think they were all internally thinking "win this easy game" and it completely backfired and here we are with the worst loss in Tennessee history.

You settle on your best 5 guys on Oline and let the butthurt ones hit the transfer portal. This musical chairs with the Oline should get someone canned. They really didn't play that bad though. The problem is with the trigger man. We've seen it for 3 years now and it's the same as day one. Time to pull the plug.
