Aside from yesterday, it also showed that Lanier can be a true 3-level scorer instead of simply the catch-and-shoot or transition 3 guy he was most of the season. He showed some face up dribble drives late in the clock where he got to the rim or pulled up in the midrange. He needs to do more of that if UT is going to get beyond the Sweet 16.

I doubt it. I think we're going to see more of what we saw yesterday. I don't think the officials in the NCAAT will allow "SEC physicality" as much. Foul trouble and a lack of depth will be our undoing at some point. Just a shame that such a special senior class might not reach new heights for this program due to no fault of their own. Bet Barnes wishes he had a redo on this years roster.

It's a favorable bracket. Depth and lack of offensive rebounds hurt this team yesterday and a few times this year. Foul trouble could be a problem as you saw yesterday as well. If the refs call these games tight it will change the way they play defense, which is this team's staple.

Besides the fact that this was in response to a kind remark about the Vols, therefore unnecessary, you look ridiculous after yesterday’s result. Florida is stupid good.

Florida will be in the final 4. We will not get there. Houston and Florida in the championship. Our bigs can't rebound or score in the paint.

Well he had no clue that JP would be out the entire year and Carr would flake out.

History and lack of offense says "no". Our lack of an offensive post (which has been an issue all year) isn't going to allow this team to get past the 2nd weekend. Okpara isn't in the same hemisphere offensively as Aidoo was for us. He is a better defender, IMO. However, defense will only take us so far. We'd better hope that whomever we play is having an off shooting night.
