This is a good team and I think we're getting better as the year goes on. We're about to win the SECT as the Lizards are way overhyped and overrated and we'll beat them down like we did last time we played.

I think we're getting hot at the right time. Will this be the Men's BasketVol team to take the next step and get a final 4 run?

Y’all are having a fantastic season. Any of the 4 who played yesterday can make it.

There are unranked teams that make the Final Four.

I think it's a legitimate goal for any team in the top 4 seeds. Sometimes because of other things that happen in a bracket, all you need is 1 upset to get there.

In Tennessee's case, they wouldn't even need to pull an upset.

Realistically any of Auburn, Florida, Vols, and Bama can all make a final 4. They are all good enough. Now matchups and who gets hot on any given night is what makes the tourney so hard to win. But they are all very capable of making the final 4.

As are 4-5 other SEC teams.

Much as it pains me to admit, I’d be very shocked if Florida doesn’t at least make the E8. It’s March and anything can happen, but you’re playing some of the best basketball in the nation.
Besides their great guards, they have active bigs too. They, for the most part, are a complete package

They definitely can. A lot of it will depend on our bracket. We just can’t get caught by a sleeper team. It has to be 100% basketball and killer instinct every game. Had we not run into Purdue last season, we would’ve had our first final 4 appearance.

The scary part about college basketball is how much the refs can control the game. They babied Edey like crazy last season. Their agenda was for Purdue to win it all but UConn had more dogs in the end.

No doubt other results in your bracket can change potential matchups, which can help a lower seed. Two upsets and a lower seed easily makes the E8. Just hope the Vols aren’t involved in the upset experience, and S16 is probable.
In my opinion, Fl is the best team I have watched multiple times against multiple opponents. No weakness in front court or backcourt and plenty of quality depth. FF is very possible. Brackets rarely go as planned.

Tennessee has had teams good enough to make the Final Four for 4 straight years. It’s not really a matter of wondering if they can do it, but whether we will do it at this point. The team is plenty capable, just have to execute.

My biggest worry is depth down the stretch. Do we have that quality depth to make a run? I don’t know. To make a final four we are going to have to get more from guys like Dubar, Igor and Okpara. We can’t make a final four run with the guards doing all the scoring.

Two things this tourney just did for us. Allowed Gainey to get going and get hot on offense.

Also showed that Dubar is capable of bulldozing his way to the rim on offense. He will need some minutes

I like our draw a lot, think Houston has a bit more tough potential matchups than us. Gonzaga in round 2 or Clemson/Purdue in Sweet Sixteen could be rough.

We've lost 6, but only 4 teams beat us and 2 of them are #1 seeds.

I think Kentucky in the Sweet Sixteen could be tough or Illinois, but I like our chances against everyone in the Midwest, even Houston. Just need to see the team focused & ready to go.
