Could this be one of the major issues with the staff?

He’s gotten proven winners that have a track record that speak for themselves. The problem is micro management. If he steps off and let’s these guys do their jobs without his strong arming I bet the team shows improvement almost immediately.
I also believe Pruitt is micromanaging. He said he jumps around and works with each position group. It seems like he should hire assistants with similar philosophies to his and let them do their jobs. If coaches are teaching techniques and Pruitt comes in and undermines the assistant, that damages the assistant's credibility with the players and leads to indecision on both the players and coaches parts.

The CEO of a company cannot do every job. He has to hire the right people, set the direction and let them execute the plan.

Why do you think JG won't 'be back to destroy it"?

He has another year left. Why wouldn't CJP start JG next season since he looked so good against ALA? Obviously, Pruitt thinks JG is improving.
He is coming back because he isn't good enough for the NFL, and if he hits the transfer portal, I don't think anyone, not even Austin Peay, would pick him up! He is in the twilight of his football career, and he knows it.
