Could this be a sleeper team?

the saddest thing about all this is, we look back at the '98 team as a "sleeper" like they came out of nowhere, but that team started the season ranked in the top 10. man it would be nice to return to days where we have a top-10 team, but are still expecting a "down year"

Anything COULD happen! It may not but it definately COULD. Someone hits the powerball every couple of weeks.

Personally, I never say anything other than undefeated until the first loss, then I say 11-1 and a BCS bowl win until they lose a second. Then I say 10-2 and so on. And then after loss #4 I say the hell with it. I hope don't get to the hell with it part this year!

That kind of mentality is far to painful. Come to reality with the rest of us and you will enjoy the season better.

Yes, this team has the potential to win 10 games if Crompton plays well and the O line does a better job. I am not worried about the defense.

A sleeper team NO!

I am just hoping we don't appear comatose in any game this season like we did last year and in 05.

I am very confident the current staff won't allow complacency or any dozing on the sidelines.

8-4 7-5 with a bowl win would be a very good start to climb back up the ladder to be competitive on a national scene.
