What do you consider a sleeper? +8 wins?...or undefeated? Yes, to +8 wins...A big fat no to the later!!

no, there was NFL talent all over the field in 98. We have any of that this year?

It seems all experts on t.v. think we will challenge anyone.
We were not expected to win 8-9 games that year
Just a thought

Interesting question. I'm certain Eric Berry and Rico McCoy will be drafted in the spring. Alot of the others will depend on this year (see Robert Ayers for what one good season can do for you).

I could see 6 or 7 in this class (Hardesty, Wes Brown if his knees don't give out, and a few others in this group of maybes).

No, this is not a sleeper team. I thought we had a sleeper team last year, not a NC caliber sleeper, but maybe SEC Champion sleeper. Mainly because of the reasons you mentioned, Peyton to Tee, like Ainge to Crompton. We returned a lot of starters coming off of a SECCG appearance that lost by only one TD to the eventual National Champions in a game that many feel we should have pulled out if not for a few mistakes on our end.
But regardless, I was way off. I expected the Clawfense to be successful from Clawson's years at Richmond, not something that did not even resemble an offensive attack.

I really can't see Wes going at the next level if his knees are hurting him this bad now. The guy is a great ball player though.

yep in 98 I was wondering how the offense would be without Peyton but in 09 I'm worried if the O can function with JC as QB....we're going to need a lot of players to step up BIG time for this team to win
