NWS showing 50% chance of showers. Does a wet field advantage one team over the other? I've heard, over the years, that it favors a running game.

First thread I have started. I hope it is worthy because in my few posts, I have thrashed dumb ones.

Rain favors teams that run the ball, without doubt. Some people say that WRs have an advantage on wet turf because they know where they will cut.

Well considering it's Oklahoma and I would go and say the kids there might of never played in a rain game . It favors us but if the 99 thousand or so stay into the game

Rain is not going to affect the crowd as long as the team is handling business.

Is that a serious comment? It can get pretty dry here in the summer, but we get rain lol. Oklahoma isn't the desert.

You know it does actually rain there, right?

What about the return game?

(I have not heard much about that aspect altall this week, but off our fine performance against BG, I think it could be a difference maker today.)

The biggest impact from potential weather will be ticket prices. If the sun breaks through around 2 hours before game time (as expected), prices will be high. If it's wet, scalpers will get burned. The field drains well and I do not anticipate an issue for either team.

It favors a offense cause they know were they are going the defense slips on the cuts.

On the local news weather forecast they are showing the rain moving out this morning and little chance of rain for the game. It looks like it will stay north of Knoxville.
