QB running the ball is nice to have on this offense. QB throwing accurately deep down the field is essential.

Just because you're fast doesn't mean you can make people miss like Vick and Lamar. They also could throw the ball fairly well.

Michael Vick was just an Athlete in college he didn't develop into a real complete QB until he got into the NFL and he would tell you that as well. [edit: he did have a freakish arm in college as well though]

For sure, you right. I should've specified that Vick blossomed as a passer later in his career. He was magical with his legs.

I am HOPEFUL that several of our guys with exceptional athletic ability turn into real ballers. Holiday and Hyatt are joined by Beckwith with his mix of size and speed, Whitehead with his build and overall athleticism, at least as evidenced by his SPARQ scores at camps, Wideman with his length and leaping abilities and throw in true true FR Wrights speed. This does not include our JUCO RB who appears to be the real deal with a mix of talents though none extraordinary individually. None proven, but the potential for being difference makers will keep me going till they show they are not. The staff has a real chance to enhance their own reps as development guys going forward. OR NOT.
