Could Cotton Bowl be 5th BCS bowl?

Cotton would be a good choice, IMO. I'd like to see them add one, plus I'd like to see one more key change to the BCS -- Play the BCS bowls by Jan. 1st, then based on new BCS standings immediately after those games, match the #1 & #2 teams in a Jan 8th BCS NC game. That way all of the BCS Bowls become even more important and two more teams get to go to a BCS bowl. Also, one more change -- any non-BCS team / conference that makes it to a BCS bowl should get as big of a $ share of the pie as a BCS team / conference does. JMHO.

I've heard that they're putting the Cotton bowl in the new Texas Stadium (which is incredibly obvious now that I've read the article). If so, that means that the weather -- long the Cotton Bowl's biggest obstacle to being among the 2-3 best -- is no longer an issue. Dallas is a great city, the bowl game has an awesome history, and the game will no longer be in the ghetto....it all adds up to a bright future for the Cotton Bowl.

That is why they might make the cotton bowl as a BCS game because it is in the new texas stadium. IMO I like the Idea.

I would throw my vote in for the cotton bowl! It is only 4-5 hrs from me, and I have never been to a BCS bowl game. That might give me my chance!

I like the Cotton with the new stadium. But I beleive the Citrus Bowl currently has the second highest pay out and is widely considered the best game out side of the BCS (#2 SEC v. #2 Big Ten).

Yeah, I'm for it. The new stadium is no more than 15 minutes from the house. I can see it from my office building (on the sixth floor)

No, YOU are wrong. Before the Florida Citrus growers dropped their sponsorship of the bowl it was called the Comp USA Citrus bowl(back in the 90's). Comp USA dropped their sponsorship and Capital One pick it up. Couple of years ago the citrus growers pulled out and it became just the CAP 1 bowl. I hate corporate names for bowls so I still call it the Citrus bowl and I also called the "Outback" bowl the Hall of Fame bowl. Have a nice day

Edit: I misread his original post. Didn't need to be an ass, though.

Not to mention I am well aware of the history of the Citrus Bowl. If the BCS got a hold of it (and Capital One tried a couple years ago) I have a feeling it would go back to being the Capital One Citrus Bowl.
