I've heard that they're putting the Cotton bowl in the new Texas Stadium (which is incredibly obvious now that I've read the article). If so, that means that the weather -- long the Cotton Bowl's biggest obstacle to being among the 2-3 best -- is no longer an issue. Dallas is a great city, the bowl game has an awesome history, and the game will no longer be in the ghetto....it all adds up to a bright future for the Cotton Bowl.
I like the Cotton with the new stadium. But I beleive the Citrus Bowl currently has the second highest pay out and is widely considered the best game out side of the BCS (#2 SEC v. #2 Big Ten).
I would throw my vote in for the cotton bowl! It is only 4-5 hrs from me, and I have never been to a BCS bowl game. That might give me my chance!
Wrong. You'd be thinking of CapitalOne
No, YOU are wrong. Before the Florida Citrus growers dropped their sponsorship of the bowl it was called the Comp USA Citrus bowl(back in the 90's). Comp USA dropped their sponsorship and Capital One pick it up. Couple of years ago the citrus growers pulled out and it became just the CAP 1 bowl. I hate corporate names for bowls so I still call it the Citrus bowl and I also called the "Outback" bowl the Hall of Fame bowl. Have a nice day
