I'm really thinking that maybe all these staffing changes could turn out to be a very good thing for us, if at least refreshing. New OC, New QB, who knows, I've got a feeling we're gonna go a long way in 08. If not Miami, at least a BCS bowl, and an SEC championship

It's looking like it might turn into a blown opportunity. Instead of bringing in fresh ideas and rolling the dice, looks like Fulmer is going to stay with the same ole same ole.

Compare how long it took Tubby to jetison Borges and hire Franklin to what Fulmer is doing. Franklin came from some podunk/barely Div-I school in Alabama.

I think Tubby had this in the works for quite a while before he actually pulled the trigger. He knew he was going to make the change and made it on his terms and schedule. Fulmer didn't know he was going to be shopping for a new OC until Duke fired Ted Roof and then hired Cut two weeks later. By that time, Fulmer was basically left in a holding pattern until the end of the season, unless he wanted to hire someone who was currently unemployed.
