What are your thoughts on one of the Cottam's moving to de or something? They will just be a waste at TE at Tn.

I think this is the dumbest post of the day. Brad Cottam is a SR and his brother is a soph. Next year Jeff Cottam and Luke Stocker will be the only TE's we have unless we recruit one in this class.

So move Jeff to DE and leave Warren and Stocker at TE? Warren doesn't even know the playbook and Stocker hasn't done anything yet. Doesn't make much sense to move position to position if the first doesn't have much depth.

Also, Warren isn't guarenteed to play next season. It has yet to be determined if I recall correctly.

Aaron Douglas from Maryville has committed to TN for next year as a TE. And I assume we will get Rae Sykes next year.
And what makes you think that Warren is already on next year's team and that Cottam will play DE? Have the coaches said he will play DE or are you just saying that?

Aaron Douglas will be an OT. Rae Sykes will be at JUCO next year. Never said Warren would be on the team next season.

I would prefer to see Warren at DE. He has all-american potential and would make much more of an impact on defense.

Where on god's earth dod you come up with that idea? This reminds me of what Peter Gibbons told Tom Smykowski after he told him his "Jump to Conclusions mat" idea.

Chris Brown is the first person I thought of after I read that post.

Agree, they have used Brown this year but our history of all-american tight ends is not long. We really need help badly on the defensive line and Warren could contribute right away.

Brown had some decent receptions last year as well. He's had 63 since he's been here. Pretty good amount for a TE.

That's one of the reasons he didn't come here to begin with. He doesn't want to play D UT wouldn't let him be a TE.

i know one thing...Luke is better than the Cottam's....bring back FB and go back to single TE line.

We never told him he wouldnt play TE. We simply told him we thought he had lots of potential at DE and that he would get looks on both sides of the ball.

At FSU, he played as a freshman. If he would have come here, he probably would have been on the bench because he couldn't get the system figured...
