Saw him play at the North-South All-Star Classic and he did suprisingly good. I don't understand why we didn't use him more. He straight layed the wood while he was there.. even racked up 45 yards. :banghead2:

We didn't use him more because he didn't show effort when he was a Vol after his sophomore year. He didn't block at all this year. He didn't catch the ball very well either.

I've questioned the effort of players before, but I don't think that we as fans really should. We don't really know ho hard these guys are playing. Cory's had some big plays at UT, but his production trailed off the last couple of years. In 2005, that's understandable, because the entire offense was a letdown. I think in 2006, the scheme didn't really fit him well. If he is involved in a power running game, he can excel. I think he'll get his shot to make an NFL roster.

IMO Anderson doesn't have a future in the NFL. I think he goes undrafted and doesnt make anyone's practice squad.

I think his effort or lack there of had a lot to do with changing the scheme, especially with the play of Cottam and Coker being what it was.

I watched most of the game and I noticed the same thing I noticed while he was at UT. He has unique athletic ability/speed for a guy his size and has soft hands, but he is the weakest blocker I've ever seen for someone 260. I mean charmin soft, almost like he doesn't want to hit anyone.

I disagree that he won't get a look in the NFL though. The fullback position is basically extinct in the pro game now, with the number of formations and the popularity of the passing game, so it's not like you have to be a good blocker. He's big and he can catch the ball and run, so I wouldn't be surprised if he made a practice squad. I think the biggest thing that would hold him back is his work ethic.
