After reading todays article on the RB's, I've come up with the idea of Anderson playing TE and this way Holbert could play FB. It seems that this would better utilize both of them in my opinion. Anderson is a HUGE fullback if you think about it. almost 6'4 260... that to me says tight end. what do yall think?

Considering Cory has a tough time catching and holding on to the ball, I wish the coaching staff had put him on a weight program, beefed him up to about 285-290 and turned him into a C or G.

However, I do love seeing him run over small DBs in the flat.

i also agree that holbert is a better fullback... kinda like troy flemming. brown and anderson would make a good 1-2 punch at TE, but i think arian foster would rather see anderson clearing the way for him instead of holbert.

I think we should rotate Brown, Holbert, and Anderson at FB and TE. And Anderson has said he plans on being 250 when the season gets around. Holbert is about 240-245. Not much of a difference.

We already have a dozen TEs, none of whom have had the opportunity to recieve a pass. All we need are a few more. I agree that CA fits the physical profile but how many more TEs does this team need?

So true, didn't we recruit another 15 of them this year?

I think that Cory still has loads of potential at FB. Sure, he dropped some easy passes, but he was formally a defensive end. Let's wait and see how many drops he had this season before we move him.

Holbert will also probably get some good playing time at FB also. Having two capable FB's who can give each other some rest is not a bad thing.

I believe that before last season they were talking about Anderson playing some TE. I don't think much came of it though.

We're solid at FB, let's not mess with it yet.

How many TEs do we have? Brown, the Cottams, Smith, and Stocker. That would be 5. We will run two TE sets this year as well. Smith and Stocker aren't for sure TEs either. The older Cottam graduates after this year too.

Dont you need to be able to catch the ball to play tight end? I think he's better suited to play the position he started at DT.

defensive speed probably nullifies the concept in college football, but in high school when you wanna just move the chains and eat clock we had a elephant package where we ran 3 TE's and 2 FB's.....almost gareenteed 4 yards a carry if fundamental blocking is there.

Leave Anderson where he is at and see what Brown and the Brothers can do if the ball is actually thrown to them.

I honestly think if CA matured in the offseason like most players do, he'd be amazing getting 10 carries a game. There is NOOOOOOOO way after chasing Foster around would they be able to tackle Cory.

How many fumbles did he have last season? I need to know.

Coaching advice:
Hold on to ball.
Done.

I think people get on Cory Anderson a little too much because of that big fumble at the end of the Bama game. That was an unfortunate event, but it wasn't like it was the only offensive screwup of the game. You really can't blame that loss on him.

The above advice could be better directed toward Arian Foster. #27 had more key fumbles, but he seems to be deemed as our new hope. I'm not disagreeing with that, but he definitely needs to work on his ball security. In fact, I'd say that's a WAY bigger concern than Cory Anderson's fumbling. CA won't be touching the ball all that much, and Arian is pretty much expected to be our workhorse.

Arian probably had more fumbles because he saw the ball more and got a LOT MORE touches
and the Bama thing.. sucks.. but the guy's helmet knocked it clean out, ain't like he wasn't trying
